That's not very Novak Djokovic-y. A backhand dumped into the net.
Here's an early break point for Carlos Alcaraz...

Hard to gauge from up in the stands, but I'd suggest Carlos Alcaraz looks a little tense.
Divided opinion about whether he has got the nerves thing out of his system after what happened in Paris, or if the prospect of playing Djokovic at Wimbledon - where the Serb has a formidable record - will heighten the anxiety again.
Time will tell.

Thwack!
Carlos Alcaraz climbs into a second serve like he's been planning for that all day.

Their level of play has been extremely similar. They have re-established themselves as the two best players on the planet, on any surface.
They are really dominating the rest of the field, and they are going toe-to-toe and the beginning of the match will be crucial.
Alcaraz 0-0 Djokovic*
Here's an early sign of the support Carlos Alcaraz will receive after the first real baseline exchange.
He powers down a backhand which Novak Djokovic cannot control.
"Come on, Carlos" shouts a man a few rows in front of me.

Right, enough of the star-spotting. The tennis...
Despite the menacing clouds above, the match will be starting in the great British outdoors as intended.
A slight chance of rain this afternoon but not thought they will be enough to need the roof to crank into action.
Famous last words.
The breeze is strong and it will be interesting to see which player that affects the most.
Alcaraz 0-0 Djokovic*
So it all comes down to this.
Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic. The world number one or the world number two. The King of Swig or the young challenger...

Superb tennis from Henry Searle as he takes the opening set and then backs that up with a break to love in the opening game of the second.
He consolidates with a hold to 15 and is starting to race away with this set.
'Keep it rolling' is the message from his fan club.
Will this be the story of how Carlos Alcaraz's life got turned upside down?
He's first to head to his seat, happy that he has done all he can in the warm-up.

A warm ovation for British royalty when Wills and Kate take their seats.
A more frenzied cheer when the sporting royalty arrives.
The man who could be King of Wimbledon is followed onto court by the Fresh Prince of SW19.

The subplot to this match is the meeting between these two players just a few weeks ago at the French Open.
That encounter started with two epic sets before Carlos Alcaraz was overcome by full body cramps.
He later said it was caused by the stress of facing Djokovic.
Here they each give each other a pat on the back before bounding to their respective baselines.

Novak Djokovic has been the villain. It's not because we don’t like Novak but Federer, Murray and Nadal have been there. They were the favourites so he was always the villain.
He becomes the villain again because we want to see the new player win.
I feel sorry for the guy. He's not the villain at all, he is just an outstanding player who tries his best.
Here come the players.
Carlos Alcaraz gives a wave in response to polite applause from the crowd before Novak Djokovic does the same.
Excited?

I think there are just so many things that are truly remarkable about Carlos Alcaraz. Let's not forget that the British crowd is really starting to embrace the new kid coming out.
He will have to be more stunning than usual, making sure that forehand stays inside the court, not going for too much too soon, not rushing either.
JJ has spotted the Hollywood royalty and the British royalty has just arrived.
Prince William, the Princess of Wales, Edward and Charlotte have just taken their seats in the Royal Box.
The two players, meanwhile, are just making their way through the corridors below looking utterly focused. Djokovic is striding ahead of his young challenger.

Brad Pitt in the house!
Within seconds of the Hollywood legend taking his seat, he’s already done about 10 selfies.
Welcome to Wimbledon Fight Club.
Novak Djokovic has to be the overwhelming favourite here. He hasn't lost on this court since 2013 (TWENTY THIRTEEN!!).
But if anyone is going to beat him it is probably Carlos Alcaraz.
I watched the Spaniard swat aside Daniil Medvedev from this very seat on Friday. That was seriously impressive.

It's possible a 10-point tie-break in the final set is what we're looking at today because if they both play well, there is so little between these two.
They are far and away the two best players in the world. They're both capable of worrying each other in a way nobody else can on the circuit right now,.
