    Nice rally as Alex Molcan has Alexander Zverev chasing a lob and then a drop shot. Zverev gets to both with superb defence but then ends up missing the easy one, volleying into the net.

    No drama for the German though who packs his service game full of winners and ends up holding to 15.

    He gets out of his service game with another classy drop-shot winner. Molcan didn't even bother to chase it down.

    This is some atmosphere on Court Suzanne Lenglen. Forget the players, the crowd will do well to keep this up for (at least) three sets!

    Taylor Fritz does his best to silence them. He earns four break back points but Arthur Rinderknech saves the lot and eventually holds.

    That brings another mighty cheer and the volume level is raised even further as the Frenchman breaks again. Fritz is usually so calm but he looks rattled early on here.
