Taylor Fritz goes up 0-30 on Arthur Rinderknech's serve and he seizes upon the opportunity.

The ninth seed earns two set points but Rinderknech produces a fantastic drop shot to save the first and bring another roar of encouragement from the crowd.

There's no such luck with the second one, though. A backhand from the Frenchman finds the net and Fritz takes the second set.

Taylor Fritz holds to love to move to within a game of the second set.

His serve and volley game has been superb so far and every time Fritz looks like he might have a sniff, Rinderknech responds.

Alexander Zverev is just too good, winning with a crosscourt forehand after a lengthy rally.

Next point and he takes it with a forehand winner down the line before forcing an error and winning at the net to hold to love.

Zverev is on a mission. He's only lost eight points on serve so far this match.

Alex Molcan, who's hoping to reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career, stems the tide for now.

He begins to find more rhythm with his serve, forcing Alexander Zverev back and he picks him off with some clever court manipulation.

The unseeded underdog gets on the board in the second set, holding to 15.
