  2. Manager reactionpublished at 21:58

    Wales 2-3 Netherlands

Wales manager Chris Coleman said: "We're not going to stop teams scoring all the time; we're going to concede at some point.

"But I can't be disappointed with my players. We were up against a wounded animal in the Netherlands and a lot of good players.

"We'll take a lot from this game."

We knew we were up against a good team in Holland, although they didn't qualify... the lads who came in did a great job for us and I'm not too disappointed. We got what we wanted out of it except the result

  4. Unbeaten record gonepublished at 21:55

    Wales 2-3 Netherlands

That was Wales' first home defeat since a 3-0 loss to Serbia in September 2013. They had won five of the next eight games, including beating Belgium on their way to Euro 2016 qualification.

A little more care at the back could have ended their seven-game losing run against the Netherlands, but there was plenty to admire about the performance.

I think we realise how important Ashley Williams is, I know we've said that for a long time but you could see we missed his leadership and organisation when he wasn't on the pitch

We're very disappointed and I think that shows how far we've come that we are disappointed. But a player like Arjen Robben can that to you. He's lethal, a world-class player and that's what he can do.

We're gutted with the result but we're missing key players in Bale and Rambo [Ramsey], but it was a good performance and... on another day we would have got a result. I hadn't scored for a long time for Wales, so it's great to get on the scoresheet.

    Joe Ledley, Wales midfielder

  8. 'Missing key players'published at 21:46

    Wales 2-3 Netherlands

Wales midfielder captain Ashley Williams told BBC Wales Sport: "It was a worthwhile game against a good side and I think we did well. It was important to keep our momentum going and I think we did that. We had a few players out and some of the younger players came in and did well."

Wales lost a bit of defensive shape when the Swansea centre-back was substituted at half-time. And the absence of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey can't be overstated.

The positives are Tom Lawrence obviously... they didn't let their heads go down when they went behind and Emyr Huws has come on and got his goal. That's about as good as it gets for a friendly

Tom Lawrence has put Sam Vokes under pressure a little bit for a Euro 2016 spot... he's got great movement and he's certainly put himself in the frame

It's been a useful run-out for Wales, Tom Lawrence will have pleased Chris Coleman and we scored two goals... although we've conceded those goals as well

    Wales 2-3 Netherlands

An entertaining game settled by the class of Arjen Robben. Wales were the architects of their own downfall to an extent but the youngsters, particularly Tom Lawrence, showed glimpses of promise to encourage manager Chris Coleman.

    Arjen Robben

Wales are guilty of giving Arjen Robben far too much room once again and he makes no mistake. The Netherlands captain exploits a gap between James Chester and James Collins and slots the ball past Owain Fon Williams.

  17. CLOSE!published at 79 mins

    Wales 2-2 Netherlands

Arjen Robben wastes a glorious chance to put the Dutch ahead again. He's six yards out, on his trusted left foot, but drags it wide. A huge let off for Wales.

    Wales 2-2 Netherlands

So we're into the final 15 minutes and this could go either way. All the changes for Wales hasn't caused too much disruption and the Netherlands have lost their zip.

    Anyone's game.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Wales 2-2 Netherlands

A popular substitution as goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams replaces Wayne Hennessey to win his first cap. Williams has waited patiently for this moment having has been involved with Wales for the last six years without getting his chance to play.

    Emyr Huws

A fantastic header by Emyr Huws brings Wales level. Joe Allen is involved again with a left-foot cross after a short corner, and midfielder Huws times his run to perfection to power a header past Jasper Cillessen.
