There's also the heats in the women's luge, with luge being one of my favourite events in the whole Games. I mean, what's better than going feet first on a teatray down a tube of ice?

I'll tell you what's better - doing it with someone else. I'm just seeing pictures of the practice runs for the men's double luge.

So many questions. Firstly, how did they decide to make it a two-person event?

Later on, there are gold medals to be won in biathlon, moguls, ski jumping and speed skating. Alas, though, there is no more British interest on this third day of the Games.

Just waking up? Happy Monday to you. Here's what you missed overnight...

    • The women's slopestyle final was heavily affected by wind and won by defending champion Jamie Anderson from the USA. Britain's Aimee Fuller was 17th.
    • That same wind caused the women's giant slalom to be postponed.
    • Canada took gold in the team figure skating with a discipline to spare.
    • The Canadians also reached the final of the mixed curling, beating Norway. OAR and Switzerland meet in the second semi-final later today.

Did they really make a scarf in Sochi? I'm going to need to see that.

With the windchill bringing temperatures down to a real feel of -7 C in Gangneung, most people at the Olympic Park are diving into various shopping and food tents following the conclusion of events.

The superstore is doing a roaring trade, mainly in the thermals department.

Also on sale, you’ll find boxes of dried seaweed and roses made of soap. They’re about £8, in case you need any last-minute Valentine’s Day giftspiration.

    Women's halfpipe qualification

    Tim Warwood
    Snowboarding commentator on BBC TV

As it stands, it looks like it will be a battle for silver in tomorrow's halfpipe final.

It doesn't look like anybody will get anywhere near USA's Chloe Kim. She's revered not only in her homeland but her parents are Korean too. Perhaps they'll all be celebrating the result tomorrow.

    Women's halfpipe qualification

They're all done, the 12 spots in the final have been taken. Basically, it's America's Chloe Kim, then the rest. At 17, she qualified for the Sochi Games four years ago, but was not old enough to compete. She might be the most nailed-on gold medal of these Games.

I can say with some certainty that no one expected David Brent to feature in the BBC's Winter Olympics coverage.

This is the best thing you will see today...

12:30-14:10: Will this be the day that Ireen Wust becomes the most successful speed skater in Olympic history?

The Dutch woman won silver in the in the 3,000m on day one to take her Olympic tally to nine, alongside Germany's Claudia Pechstein. Another here would put her top of the all-time list.

Jamie Anderson, by the way, meditates before she hurls herself down snowy mountains on a skateboard without wheels. She took part in the Celebrity Apprentice in the USA in 2014. Even though she failed to win, Donald Trump still gave her a cheque for her chosen charity.

If you didn't see it earlier, Canada wrapped up the gold medal in the team figure skating. You can watch them completing what was a pretty dominant performance right here. They even thought ahead to bring a flag with a golden maple leaf.
