Th second run will begin immediately. If you missed Aimee Fuller's run, she disappointingly knocked it on the head after the first jump. She lies in 13th position.

    Women's slopestyle final

    Never in doubt.

Defending champ Jamie Anderson racks up a massive 83, some 10 points clear of second-placed Silje Norendal.

By my reckoning, there were only five clean runs.

    Women's slopestyle final

Was Jamie Anderson on the same course as everyone else? Does she repel the wind? The rails were beautiful and she landed the jumps on legs made of steel.

The American never once looked flustered.

    Surely into the lead?

I'll be honest, Anderson is making it look easy. Different league through the rails.

    Women's slopestyle final

It's not even about the repertoire of what the women have got here - it's about what they can actually get down.

So far we have a very unlikely top three. Because of the inconsistencies in terms of the trajectories and resistance, the athletes aren't able to land the jumps they want to.

It's the lottery of the wind, not the ability of the athletes that's deciding who's at the top.

Julia Marino, an X Games silver medalist, is another to abandon her first run.

Only defending champ Jamie Anderson to go.

    Show them how it's done?

    Aaarrrgggghhhh!

Almost so good. Gasser goes for a huge trick on the first jump and so nearly lands it. She has to put her hands on the snow, though, and loses all her speed. The Austrian doesn't even attempt the second jump.

Four riders to go - big riders, too. Spencer O'Brien of Canada, Austria's Anna Gasser and the American pair of Julia Marino and Jamie Anderson, the defending champion. We've still only had four clean runs.

    Figure skating: Team event

Canada's Gabrielle Dalman places third in the women's single part of the team figure skating. By my reckoning, that means the Canadians will win gold regardless of what happens in the pairs free dance. It's not confirmed yet, though.

This isn't qualifying, it's a straight final. It's not three runs, it's two runs. The conditions are difficult and so you have to approach it differently.

You've got to put down your best run straight away and let everyone else chase you.

Langland goes the way of so many before her, eating the snow on the second of the three jumps. It was string before then, too. Seven to go in this first run.

We've had 17 riders go in this women's final. I reckon only four have got down the course cleanly.

Lee: Such a shame for Aimee Fuller that the wind was such an issue with her run. Let's hope it calms down for her second go to give her a chance!

Luke: That wind is really costing Team GB and Aimee Fuller. We should push for an indoor Olympics...

  18. 'Fuller looked gutted'published at 02:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2018

    Nick Hope
    BBC Sport in Pyeongchang

Aimee Fuller looked gutted about that run, but she didn’t look happy from the off and she isn’t alone - over half of the snowboarders so far have ‘eaten powder’ and crashed out.

Fuller at least kept it clean and avoided any injuries ahead of the all-important second and final run.

This wind though could throw up some real shocks today!

The arena complex in Gangneung has a slightly different vibe to the other parts of Pyeongchang.

For a start, the weather is much more bearable. It's also got a bit more of a touristy feel to it.

As well as the usual sponsor-led activity tents, there's a stage where different singing and dancing acts perform daily, an arts centre and a sculpture exhibition.

A traditional Korean parade, featuring a drummer band, ballet dancers and a fairytale princess, goes back and forth across the park all day.

It was fairly quiet when we first arrived on site, but it's becoming more and more lively as more sporting events take place.

New leader. Norway's Silje Norendal edges ahead of Jessika Jenson. I think she is one of only four to get down the course cleanly. Japan's Reira Iwabuchi is the latest to stack it.
