Nope. Aimee Fuller decides against the second jump, throwing her arms into the air.

She just didn't feel that she had the speed. Did we hear her say that it's too windy?

"I'm waiting for the wind to stop," she says at the bottom.

It will all be on the second run.

Fuller, 26, was born in Kent and used to go to Bromley Ski Centre as a youngster, before her family moved to the US when she was 12. Now she lives in Belfast. In this event at the 2014 Olympics, she finished 17th.

This is a difficult course to ride. When the conditions aren't good you look at the course for reassurance. Yes, the conditions are tough, but this course is difficult too so the riders are just not getting a break.

Having met him post-skate I can indeed verify Adam Rippon’s Twitter profile claim to have superior grade eyebrows.

More importantly he put in a solid Olympic debut in the men’s free programme to keep USA in the bronze medal position. Mikhail Kolyada of OAR kept his team in line for silver.

But it’s Canada’s gold to lose as Patrick Chan extended their team event lead to seven points with women’s free and ice dance free programmes to finish.

In case you're wondering, these riders are going out in reverse order of their World Cup standings, so the medal contenders are likely to go out last.

OAR's Sofya Fedorova is the latest to wipeout. It might be more newsworthy to tell you who stays upright.

Another one! It's like watching an episode of It's A Knockout.

Dutchwoman Cheryl Maas is the latest to taste the snow. It's small fry to her, though. Last year she broke her neck diving into a swimming pool.

Great Britain's Laura Deas is on fire at the Alpensia Sliding Centre. She has just topped the second official women's skeleton training session and will be very pleased with her morning's work.

Lizzy Yarnold was fourth - 0.27 seconds behind - but her medal chances are certainly looking up after a topsy-turvy World Cup season.

She's looked very consistent here so far and had a good result when they were in South Korea for the Olympic test event in 2017 and has spoken about how much she likes the track. Training resumes on Tuesday.

Being outside and watching sport in the mountains is a glorious sight but it does throw up a number of problems if you're a reporter in sub-zero temperatures.

During Andrew Musgrave's hour-long skiathlon on Sunday, I ended up with three dead phone batteries - the energy sapped from them by the cold; my glasses also froze to the back of my head. Let's not even talk about the loss of my bobble hat in a strong gust of wind.

Luckily, I'm heading back to the Gangneung arenas today, where it's -5 C. That's tropical compared to the mountains.

And another crash, this time by Switzerland's Carla Somaini, who dropped from high enough to shakes hands with an aeroplane. Two big hits in as many riders. That wind looks to be playing havoc. It's going to be smash central.

Was that the wind that caught her board and stalled the rotation?

Proof there that it will be consistency that wins today, laying down a score will allow a riskier attempt the second time around.

Good lord, Slovakia's Klaudia Medlova has just taken a horrific fall, basically coming off a house a landing on her back. That she has been able to ride away unscathed is a minor miracle.
