Ice dancing pair Nick Buckland and Penny Coomes have been speaking to the media as they prepare for their third Olympic Games together.

The Brits compete in the short dance on Monday (01:00 GMT) and the free dance on Tuesday (also from 01:00 GMT), where the medals will be decided.

Coomes has made a remarkable recovery from a career-threatening knee injury to be in Pyeongchang.

"Each Games has been special in its own way," said the 28-year-old, who claimed a 20th place finish in Vancouver and 10th place in Sochi alongside her partner.

"But for this one we have a different attitude. Normally competition is quite stressful but I feel like we're both in a happy place - a positive place."

Great Britain's Izzy Atkin will go into the final run of this women's slopstyle final in the medal positions. At the moment, the skiers who qualified best are not doing it in the final and the early runners are pulling out consistent routines.

Katie Summerhayes, in sixth, is in there with a shout too.

Izzy Atkin is one of the best in the world, she proved that at the X Games when she won silver.

It is very, very tidy. This is a big point-scorer. She's into the third and final run in bronze medal position.

GB’s Mica McNeill and brakewoman Mica Moore have been training on the Olympic sliding track for the first time this morning.

The were only the 13th fastest team, but given McNeill has less experience on the track than almost all of the other drivers she is expecting big improvements ahead of the competition beginning on Tuesday.

“The track is in good condition - it’s fast, fun but it’s only my fifth and sixth runs on it so I still have lots to work on, so I need a bit more fine tuning but I’m happy with it,” Mica McNeill tells me.

Katie and coach Pat Sharples have been working together for a decade or so. Their relationship is key to her success.

She punches the air as she crosses the line. That was a fantastic platform from which to roll into the final run.

Not her biggest tricks all the way through but it pushes her into fourth.

It is an improvement, but 71.40 is only good enough for fourth. Summerhayes nods her head. Her quest for a medal will all be down to her third and final run.
