Summerhayes, whose sister Molly will compete in the halfpipe, finished seventh in Sochi but won silver at the world championships in 2015 - the first female GB skier to win a freestyle world medal. Regularly hit by injury, she once had part of her left hamstring transplanted into her right knee.

An incredible, an incredible story. Ester Ledecka, who has never finished on the podium in World Cup events, is the Olympic champion. She denies defending champ Anna Veith in one of the biggest shocks of the Games. Not only that, but she'll compete in snowboarding too.

It’s rammed at the bottom of the slope and there are plenty of British fans supporting Team GB’s Izzy Atkin and Katie Summerhayes in the final.

Al McCulloch was in Sochi four years ago when slopestyle made its debut.

“It was so warm in Sochi that I ended up in my t-short and shorts. It’s a bit different here!” he tells me.

He’s here with his mum Wendy and after Phoenix Park, they’re off to watch Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas’ medal bids in the skeleton.

“There’s definitely more Brits here cheering the team on than in Russia. It’s a great atmosphere here.”

Izzy Atkin has the pedigree and undoubtedly the ability.

There was a beautiful grab, really strong. It wasn't the cleanest of landings - she'd opened up and was spotting to land.

Almost a fall, but still going. Second jump landed backwards.

    Third jump completed.

Not the cleanest run, but that will be a score on the board...

Katie's ankle has been giving her a lot of pain but she bottled some courage to get on the course. The physio advised her not to.

If it hurt her, she's not showing it. She's worked really hard to get herself match fit. Two more runs to go.

Katie Summerhayes leads. Only three skiers have gone and her 61.40 will definitely be overhauled.

And a 900 in the third jump, an uncomfortable landing on the knuckle of the slope. Not ideal if you've got an injured ankle.
