    Denmark 2-3 Great Britain

This is a little scrappy. Great Britain return to the lead, but Eve Muirhead bangs the ice with her broom because she knows it could have been better. With the chance to take two points, Muirhead knocks the one British stone that was in the house away, meaning GB use the hammer to take only a single.

    Women's slopestyle qualifiers

Izzy Atkin is 14th out of the gate, Katie Summerhayes is 16th.

Atkin, who lives in Utah, has a British father. Summerhayes is from Sheffield. Both are world championship medalists.

Estonia Kelly Slidaru, a 15-year-old, would have been favourite for this event, but is out with an ACL injury.

Right then, a sunny Phoenix Snow Park is ready for the qualifiers for the women's slopestyle skiing.

If you were with us for the snowboarding version, the format is the same. Competitors are judged on the tricks and jumps they perform on the downhill course.

In the qualifiers, each skier gets two runs, with their best score counting. The top 12 reach the final later on.

Seesaw, this curling. Denmark use the advantage of the final stone to halt a GB landslide. Instead of taking heavy loses, the Danes pick up a stone, but a single point is not a great return for the advantage of the hammer.

There is a lot of Danish broom pointing going on out there. So there should be. GB have got that quartet of yellow stones, lined up diagonally across the house. The Danes have the hammer, mind.

A good skip will try to force the opposition to play their weaker shots. Not that they always have weaker shots.

One will be stronger than the other and some will prefer to play hitters rather than draws.

GB have started well here, they're in a nice position, they just need to try and get a high guard.

  18. Can Britain win first ever ski medal?published at 00:38 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2018

    Women’s ski slopestyle

    Anna Thompson
    BBC Sport in Pyeongchang

Great Britain are still waiting for a first ski medal at any Winter Olympics.

Back in 2002 Alain Baxter did finish on the podium in the men’s slalom at Salt Lake City.

But he failed a drugs test when a trace of a banned substance was found and he had to give his bronze medal back.

So, can history finally be made today?

Team GB have definitely got a chance with both Izzy Atkin and Katie Summerhayes as both have finished on the podium in World Cups and World Championships.

There are 23 on the field with the top 12 after two qualifying runs going through to a three-run final where your best score counts.
