    Men's slopestyle final

We're 10 skiers in to this final and, by my reckoning, only three of them have made it through the first run without stacking it.

Norway's Oystein Braaten, an X Games gold medalist, leads from Canada's Evan McEachran.

Deafening groans from fans of all nations as Woodsy’s stunning run comes to a dramatic and brutal ending.

There are plenty of GB fans here today, but such is the quality of the field that athletes from all counties are being cheered as they throw down some stunning runs.

Qualification was of a higher standard than many predicted with few athletes able to hold much back for the final - as they’d have missed out on a place.

Such a great watch and still a long way to go!

Is the occasion getting to these skiers?

Everyone is laying down very clean runs until the end and then dropping the final tricks.

Mark Shaw: Ahhhh that would've been a medal run if he'd landed that last jump. C'mon Woodsy. Nail it next time and your coming home with metal.

Jane Pike: That was so good til that last jump crashed! 1 down 2 more chances to come.

James is like a kid at Christmas.

He looked so relaxed on every landing, that was an unbelievable run.

He's philosophical about that fall. He knows he's there, he has two more runs to lay it down.

It was so, so good, too. Almost perfect until the crash, which came on the landing for the third and final jump.

A wave to the crowd. He knows he's close.

    Men's slopestyle final

We're expecting this final to be knockdown, dragout. The qualifiers were a very high standard. The wind that plagued the beginning of these Games has relented and the skiers have wonderful conditions in which to perform. Sunshine, stillness, temperature of a balmy -2 degrees.

    Bobsleigh

Big improvements from the GB women’s bobsleigh team in training runs today with Mica McNeill and Mica Moore recording the fourth and fifth quickest times.

Yesterday McNeill insisted that as she is a “quick learner” she was confident they could improve after finishing outside the top 10 in the opening sessions.

Remember the women’s team made it to the Olympics after a public funding campaign saw them raise over £40,000.

“Obviously any athlete will tell you that we’re only here to challenge for medals and obviously that’s the dream, but if we could get into the top-10 we’d see that as success,” she tells me.

    Men's giant slalom

We're through 92 of the 110 skiers in the men's giant slalom.

Austria's Marcel Hirscher still leads the way as he looks for a second gold of these Games.

We'll soon see athletes from Eritrea and Pakistan plus two from North Korea as those at the bottom of the starting order take to the course.

    Tyler Harding

He’s “pretty gutted” because Tyler Harding loves to put on a show and instead he’s out of the Games after a second successive crash in qualifying.

Ever the showman though he deliberately slides down the final jump on his backside much to the amusement of the crowd.

“It’s my first time back on skis and a month and a half so it’s not been the easiest of times,” he admits.

“It was a bummer missing Sochi (2014 Olympics) when I was close and I wanted a chance to go out and show what I could do.”

He’ll now be cheering on team-mate James Woods in the final which begins at 04:15am GMT.
