Both GB teams are in action later today.

The women, Team Muirhead, are up against Sochi silver medalists Sweden at 05:05 GMT and the men, Team Smith, are in the later session (11:05 GMT) against Italy.

An assessment of how it's gone so far for GB curling? It's been mixed.

The women have won three and lost two of their five matches and still have reigning champions Canada to play.

The men have lost three and won two.

Remember - four out of the 10 teams with the best record at the end of the round-robin stage advance to the semi-finals.

While we're on the subject of what happened in this morning's curling, I feel we need to spend some time addressing the outfits of the American team.

I mean, what's going on here?

The morning session of the men's curling session has come to an end and the results mean things are getting very tight in the round robin standings.

Norway, Japan and Switzerland all won this morning which leaves Great Britain as one of four teams tied for fifth place with the top four progressing to the semi-final.

Unbeaten Sweden lead the way with five wins followed by Canada and Switzerland on four and Japan with three.

GB have two wins from their five matches and have a crucial match against Italy - one of the other three teams who also have two wins so far - at 11:05 GMT.

Woodsy was range-finding with that second run. He's got a lot more to give, we haven't seen anywhere near his best yet.

Even his coach Pat Sharples will be surprised that a 90 has seen him finish qualifying in only eighth position.

The level of that competition was unbelievable. People are stepping up massively for this Olympic competition.

  6. 'The level is way higher than the X Games'published at 03:28 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

Tyler Harding, who missed out on a place in the slopestyle final, on BBC TV: "We're at the Olympics - it's the biggest competition in the world. The level here is way higher than at the X Games last month.

"I've had a torn meniscus for the last month and I've just been trying to get through it. I've only had two hours of practice all week. It wasn't to be,

"Woodsy is amazing and he deserves to be up there. Being eighth with a score of 90 - you never see that. It just shows how well all the skiers are performing today."

  8. Woods reaches finalpublished at 03:22 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Men's ski slopestyle qualifying

So, James Woods will go in the slopestyle final in less than an hour from now, in what promises to be ab absolute slobberknocker.

Eight (that's 8) men went in excess of 90 during that qualification run. Four years ago, 95.80 was good enough for a gold medal.

There's nothing worse than coming all this way after four years' hard work and not putting a run down.

He was short on that second jump, he just couldn't get the speed. Speed is so crucial to land all your jumps in a row.

What a shame for Tyler but he's enjoyed himself and his hands are in the air!
