Martin Fourcade manages to get the timing absolutely perfect. It's like a sprint finish. You can only do that lunge on the line.

    Curling: Great Britain 3-1 Italy

Bit scrappy from both teams, here - GB give Italy an opportunity to shut up shop, but the Italy skip spears his final stone short.

Kyle Smith glides in and lets go - "I think we're heavy!" he shouts to his sweepers - but some furious sweeping allows GB to snaffle a point after the fourth end.

Stunning finish at the Alpensia Biathlon Centre. Martin Fourcade lost out in a photo finish at Sochi 2014...and he's just been involved in another one!

This time the Frenchman clinches gold though, millimetres ahead of Germany's Simon Schempp.

  7. 'I have seen technology errors happen'published at 11:55 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Curling controversy reaction

    Jackie Lockhart
Four-time Olympic curler on BBC TV

You can double touch on the eye of the hog stone but you can't touch it as it crosses the red line.

As we know technology is constantly looking forward so hopefully they will look at that but we can't change it now, we just have to move on.

I've seen it happen many times but I didn't think Eve Muirhead was close there. I have seen technology errors happen. She was close but I don't think she was that close.

  8. 'Hall nailed it'published at 11:52 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Bobsleigh: Two-man

    John Jackson
Two-time Olympic bobsledder on BBC TV

Some of the pilots coming down have made mistakes. Bradley Hall absolutely nailed it where other pilots haven't.

    Curling: Great Britain 2-1 Italy

Italy have reduced the deficit after three ends. It could have been 2-2, but first Great Britain's Thomas Muirhead took out two stones before skip Kyle Smith took out another with his final stone.

    The GB boys look confident.

  13. 'My goodness...'published at 11:42 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Bobsleigh: Two-man

    Nicola Minichiello
Three-time Olympic bobsledder on BBC TV

That was phenomenal. If Bradley [Hall] can hold that together for the next few runs, my goodness...

It was great to see. A massive part of it will be the timing. It's all about the velocity. As you go through the first two curves is huge.

You're going so fast, you're making minor, constant decisions. He is looking for inch-perfect lines but you also need to let the sled flow and be relaxed.
