If you've been enjoying the figure skating and have been eagerly awaiting some British interest then you're in luck.

On Monday, Nick Buckland and Penny Coomes will take centre stage in the first of two ice dance events.

The couple, who live in Novi in Michigan, are competing in their third Olympics together and have overcome more than most to make it to Pyeongchang.

Buckland needed heart surgery before Sochi, where they finished 10th, and since then Coomes, also 28, has had her knee reconstructed after shattering her patella.

"After what we’ve been though it would be silly for us to come here and say that we just want to come here, take part and enjoy the experience," Buckland told BBC Sport.

"One of the things we said after the injury was when we come back, we wanted to make sure we were competitive. We can hand on heart say that’s the case."

You can watch them in action from 01:00 GMT.

    Alex Coomber
Olympic bronze medalist skeleton racer on BBC TV

The changes in skeleton have been phenomenal. We are only talking 16 years but I was completely self-funded - I didn’t even own my sled, I didn’t own my runners, even the ones I competed on.

We didn’t have any team support, we had a team manager and coach and we travelled around Europe in battered old vehicles.

I was practising on a homemade sled in Tesco car park. The investment has meant they have everything behind them and they are a far more professional outfit.

The size of the girls has changed. I was quite small when I competed. The whole field has got a lot bigger, stronger and faster.

  5. 'Came away with stitches and a sore back'published at 09:31 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

Britain's James Woods has posted on Instagram after his fourth placed finish in the ski slopestyle.

"Yo! Thanks for all of the support crew - it was an incredible day of shredding all round @olympics! I went all in for the ‘W’ and couldn’t not be more proud of myself - 3 runs in finals that I am so stoked on despite tiny, tiny wobbles which cost me the event.

"Came away with a couple of stitches and a sore back but am bursting with pride thanks to each and every shredder, freeskiers & snowboarders, who ride their heart out and leave it all out there on the mountain - respect! Even if you didn’t get to shred here, big ups, let’s keep on rocking and thank you for letting me part of this epic journey!"

  8. How does a gold medallist relax?published at 09:20 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

Question: What did Lizzy Yarnold do when she woke up this morning as a two-time Winter Olympic hold medallist?

Answer: She knitted! It helps calm her down.

When asked about how she'd replace the rush of skeleton when she decides to retire, Yarnold said: "A couple of years ago I did a skydive for the Mind charity. That was just an amazing feeling, quite similar to skeleton actually.

"Maybe a bit more skydiving, or maybe a different sport. Laura and I were playing tennis six months ago, it was sunny and lovely - maybe more tennis with Laura."

Still with the skeleton replays on BBC Two - even though I watched it yesterday and, er, know what happened, watching everyone's family and friends go through the motions is surprisingly stressful.

Laura Deas' face when it dawned on her what had happened is priceless.

If Woods had made the most of that final rail feature, I think it would have pushed him up.

It will be tough to take but he showed the best of his skiing.

Britain's James Woods narrowly missed out a men's ski slopestyle medal earlier today.

He fell on his first run...

... moved into third place after his second run...

... but ultimately finished 1.4 points behind bronze medallist Alex Beaulieu-Marchand.

Laura Deas mum spent most of the run hiding her face in her flag.

Curling: Great Britain 6-8 Sweden - reaction

British curler Anna Sloan: "Sweden were very good. They are always such a strong, solid team to beat.

"We definitely struggled out there but we're a tight group so we'll re-group for the next game and we have time to get over that loss.

"We still have games to play and if we win them all, we're in the play-off."

Beth Lily: In a Motorsports-heavy household (late night NASCAR anyone?) I can confirm that curling has become a VERY hot topic.

Dan Kelsey: "If this is the great British Bake Off of Skiing, this is the showstopper. They're bringing out the soufflé!" - We understand things better in the UK if you explain it to us in cake terms.

  19. 'We have a couple more gears to go'published at 08:54 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

Curling: Great Britain 6-8 Sweden - reaction

On Britain's chances in the remaining games: "Every team is a tough team. We need to take it one game at a time. Canada will be on the front foot but we just have to take the positives from the last few games and not dwell too much on the losses.

"I think for all of us, there were a few half shots [against Sweden.] I feel like we have a couple more gears to go. When you come up against teams like that, you can't afford it. They will capitalise straight away."

  20. 'It was hard to take'published at 08:51 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

Great Britain curling skip Eve Muirhead speaking to BBC Two: "The red light came on. I guess when you see the replays and it looked like it was let go before. It was hard to take.

"It was the first stone I've probably ever hogged in my life. There's nothing we can do. We have to move on.

"I don't know [whether it did cross the line] - if I did, I'd be out there telling them [the officials]. When something like that happens, it makes it very tough to take and it's gutting it finished that way.
