    Good call Farah.

My colleague Marc Higginson has just said "I would love to be able to do that" while watching the figure skating so he's our office nominee for that one.

I'd have a bash at the skeleton or the bobsleigh for sure. I can't skate though. Or ski.

Guy Peters: The figure skating is absolutely mesmerising. I can't dance at all, let alone on ice! This is why I love watching the Winter Olympics.

Farah: Trying to figure out who in the office would be good at which Winter Olympic sport. Those who walk to work - cross country skiing. Those who drive to work and are running late - bobsleigh. The boss? The shooting part of the biathlon for sure!

    Women's team pursuit

The women's team pursuit has just got under way - we are only at the quarter-final stage but the all conquering Dutch aren't messing about.

They have broken the Olympic record already with a time of 2:55.61.

Britain's form in this season's World Cup suggests they will be nowhere near the medals in this event, which is predominantly being used to give young pilot Bradley Hall more time to learn the track before the four-man races.

Canadian pilots Justin Kripps and Chris Spring are among the favourites, but as ever with sliding sports, the Germans will be strong and in Francesco Friedrich and Nico Walther they posses recent World Cup winners.

However, do not rule out young Latvian pilot Oskars Kibermanis, who many feel is an Olympic champion in the making.

I'm by no means an expert but if you can't get your skates on surely you can't skate?

    Speed skating: Elise Christie update

    Wilf O’Reilly MBE
Former British short track speed skater on BBC TV

I think it's been a wise decision. Team GB have no urgency to make a decision today. The racing will start tomorrow evening.

Formerly you have to withdraw an athlete 20 minutes before the race but even if they don't, it's not a crime. You can just not turn up to the start and she will get a DNF ruling.

The boot is moulded around the ankle and it's a delicate area. She's having problems at the moment just getting the boot on.

Can she handle the pressure of having the boot on? They will see how the ankle reacts from skating today and go from there tomorrow.

    On Elise Christie's injury

    Jayne Torvill
Former Olympic, British, European and World champion ice dancer on BBC TV

At the Olympics you only have one chance. Elise [Christie] needs to take it. I think she'd regret not having a go - unless it's physically impossible.

The adrenaline kicks in and the pain will go away. It's when you take your foot out of the boot that the pain will come!

  11. Will Elise race again?published at 10:53 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2018

Britain's Elise Christie has made "good progress" in her bid to be fit for her final Winter Olympic medal chance.

Short track speed skater Christie left the ice in tears on a stretcher and was taken to hospital after a collision with China's Li Jinyu in Saturday's 1500m semi-final in which she "ruptured part of the tendons" in her ankle.

The 27-year-old, who also fell in the 500m final, is due to compete in the 1,000m heats on Tuesday at Pyeonchang.

She returned to the ice on Monday.
