Marit Bjorgen is on her way to a fifth medal here in Pyeongchang, three years after giving birth to her son.

She's come back after maternity leave and arguably delivered the Games of her life, at the age of 37.

Hello, Michael Emons here for the final stretch of the Winter Olympics.

We have one event left - the ladies' 30km mass start classic in cross-country skiing.

Marit Bjorgen, silver medallist in the 7.5km & 7.5km skiathlon back on day one, has a large lead and is heading for glory on the last day.

She has also picked up a gold in the 4 x 5km relay and bronzes in the 10km free and team sprint free. Incredible.

Marit Bjorgen is miles clear of the rest. Coming into this race we were talking about the great Charlotte Kalla of Sweden but Bjorgen is not shy off being a minute in front!

You can see defeat in these German players' eyes. They thought they had gold within their grasp.

It's a tough one to take. The sting hurts right now, but once this wears off, they're going to be proud. They've earned the respect of the hockey community.

Most of the German players have tears in their eyes as they watch the Russians celebrate. That is tough to take. But when the dust settles they will be able to reflect proudly on a remarkable Olympic campaign.

They were the 10th seeds remember, not given a prayer of a medal, and came less than a minute from shocking the Russians to take gold.

OAR have won it. A powerplay goal! Gold will return to Russia for the first time since 1992.

The Germans have eventually been beaten. OAR have delivered the knockout blow.

The history books will read OAR but the papers in Russia will read something different.

THEY'VE DONE IT! Kirill Kaprizov wins gold for the OAR.

Fitting that the golden boy of Russian ice hockey is the man who cliches gold. He fires in with almost 10 minutes gone in overtime to spark wild celebrations.

He flings his stick in the air, whips off his helmet and skates towards the OAR squad who have piled on to the ice to be mobbed.

This cold be a game-changer. Germany's Patrick Reimer catches Pavel Datsyuk around the chops with his sticks... he's been binned.

The OAR have a two-minute power-play. If they're going to win it then this is the time to do it...

What a remarkable save by Aus Den Birken. He's on his stomach but is able to stretch as far as he can.

    Unbelievable.

Germany keeper Danny Aus Den Birken will be a national hero if his team see this through. They all would be, of course, but the netminder has produced several cracking saves to deny the OAR... and here's another.

Pavel Datsyuk's eyes light up gold, Aus Den Berken has other ideas, blocking the Russian's shot.

  17. Four late goals send see-saw ice hockey final into overtimepublished at 06:54 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

What a finish to normal time!

6.39 left and OAR go 2-1 up...

    Germany equalise 10 seconds later...

Then Germany went 3-2 in front with 3.16 to go...

But OAR levelled at 3-3 to send us to overtime with 56 seconds of normal time remaining.

A moment's pause as OAR's Ivan Telegin goes over to the side to get his skate stoned. A quick sharpen and he's back on...

The Russians lump the puck forward from behind their net, straight through to the German keeper who clunkily manages to smother it.

Nothing much to choose between the sides in the opening few minutes, both teams are playing slightly more conservative. No chances of note yet.
