Max Parrot has gone massive - he's trying to tidy up that run.

Exactly the same run, but perfect this time.

You think you've got loads of time after the first run, and before you know it the second run is gone. A lot of pressure on Chris Corning now.

It will all come down to the final run for American Chris Corning too.

Now, here comes Max Parrot, in third after his opener...

    Men's downhill

What a run by Matthias Mayer!

The Austrian steals the lead from compatriot Vincent Kreichmayr.

One minute 42.85 seconds is the new gold standard in the men's downhill.

It is always the danger on the frontside 14, you are coming off your heels and if you cannot drink in that compression, it's a dig-in every time.

He compressed so hard, his head touched the snow!

The pressure, it's the Olympics, consistency goes out of the window and it is a bit of a lottery.

Strap yourselves in. These next two runs are going to be insane.

Made his entrance in December - can he control the adrenalin and deliver on the promise he has shown?

Massive, massive run from Su Yiming.

    This kid means business.

Over to China's Su Yiming to complete the opening set of runs.

Yesterday's top qualifier. Can the 17-year-old lay down a marker here?

The home support LOVED that. He seems pretty happy with it too.

The judges say... 78.38! That's fourth place - so Red Gerard leads after the first attempts.

That was like Mark McMorris was reeling in a massive tuna on a fishing line!

The sections were higher but the overall was where he was punished.

Mark McMorris just about holds it together!

Great height on the jumps from the Canadian, who manages to keep upright on the final landing with his arms swinging.

    It's a 76.98 for fourth spot.

How did that 1620 for Sean Fitzsimons's go so wrong?

Looking for that big number on those jumps.

Mark McMorris is one of the great slopestylers, but he's set to get his hands on Olympic gold.

He won bronze at both the Sochi and Pyeongchang Games, but the difference this time is that he's coming into today's final in full fitness.

Two weeks before the 2014 Olympics, he broke a rib - earning him the nickname McRib - while 11 months before Pyeongchang, a crash left him with a fractured jaw, arm, pelvis, ribs, ruptured spleen and a collapsed lung.

A clean bill of health bodes well...

Staale Sandbech can't respond to that leading run by Red Gerard.

How about Sean FitzSimons? Ouch, the American takes a big body hit as he drops short.

    Mark McMorris up next.

Red Gerard famously overslept on the day of the final in Pyeongchang, and had to borrow someone else's jacket to compete in. He still won gold.

Wonder if he's become more organised in the four years since?

Also, I'm a big fan of his coach at the top of the course wearing a tie and blazer with his salopettes.

That was an absolute scorcher and it slipped through Takeru Otsuka's fingers.

He was making short work of the sections, beautiful grab but he just couldn't hold on to it!
