    Men's slopestyle final

It's looking so, so good for Takeru Otsuka, but the Japanese coaches are left with their hands on their head as Otsuka just can't stick his landing.

Still, 52.75 puts him third for the time being.

Wow, I got lost in that from Emiliano Lauzi.

Everyone is just tapping the accelerator now.

The kid from Milan takes the lead. A proper Cinderella stoy. Turns up at the Olympics, aged 27... and takes the lead!

No luck for Norwegian Mons Roisland on his first run, before Canadian Sebastien Toutant puts down a 52.63 to begin.

Italian Emiliano Lauzi drops next... That's a big run! Back-to-back backside 1260s, a clean landing, it could be a very good score this.

Yep - into first spot! 80.01 sets the pace.

It's a 14 sandwich with 16 bread. Max Parrot's technique is so immaculate.

Love it when the judges leave that much daylight in what is a very tasty run.

    They expect fireworks today.

Very impressive from Max Parrot. Some in the media centre applauded that.

A big statement from the Canadian.

  16. 'Our best team performance'published at 03:57 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2022

Mixed doubles curling - USA 4-8 GB

Here's what Bruce Mouat had to say following GB's victory against USA earlier:

"It was our best team performance of the week and exactly the way we want to go into the semi-finals.

"We put a lot of stones in good spots to put them under pressure. Our draw weight was on point which is exactly what you need in mixed doubles."

On meeting Norway again after Sunday's loss, Jen Dodds said:

"We didn't play our best against them last night but we can take a lot of confidence from that [USA] performance.

"It's going to be a battle out there. If we go out and play like we did there, that's all we can ask for. If you'd said at the start of the week we'd get through to the play-offs, I'd have taken that in a heartbeat."

Su Yiming heads into today's slopestyle final top of the pile after qualification, on what is the 17-year-old's Olympic debut.

Su is a former child actor, but he put that career on hold seven years ago when China was awarded the Games.

He is the first snowboarder in the world to land 1800s two ways in FIS competition.

Su turns 18 on 18 February - Olympic gold would be a decent early birthday present...

    Men's downhill

After Sunday's postponement, the men's downhill has been rescheduled for 04:00 GMT this morning.

It will bring a rare phenomenon too, as it will be held on a course on which nobody has won - with no test events held at this newly designed slope because of the pandemic.

Potentially, then, the fairest downhill race in history, Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, who has dominated the World Cup circuit this season, will look to follow up retired compatriot Aksel Lund Svindal's 2018 success.

I'm back at the Genting Snow Park for today's men's slopestyle final, but the halfpipe course is right next door and it's the first time I've seen anyone on it.

This photo really doesn't do it justice, those walls are SO high! It blows my mind everytime I come here.
