Men's halfpipe
"When does this man not deliver when he's under pressure?"
"It's like watching Rocky I, II, III, IV and V, all rolled into one."
That was the view of the BBC commentary team as American Shaun White took risks to reach the men's halfpipe final.

So close for Switzerland.

The average age of this Swiss team is 30-years-old, the oldest team in the tournament so there's lots and lots of experience.
It's going to be really tight, goal scoring chances are going to come few and far between.
The images from the Winter Olympics really stimulate the mind.
How many of us woke up one morning and thought 'I know, I'll find some ice, sprint on it, jump onto a board and hurl myself face first around bends down a massive hill'.
These athletes are cut from something different. Respect.
Women's snowboard cross
One of the stories of the morning in the UK saw Lindsay Jacobellis win gold for the USA - their first at the Games.
She claimed gold 16 years after nearly doing so in Turin.
That's a long wait and the type of achievement that comes along rarely...

Nordic Combined
We told you about Japan's Ryota Yamamoto sitting top of the standings after the jump stage of the Nordic Combined.
The final stage - the cross-country ski - will kick off at 11:00 BST.
ROC 1-0 Switzerland
It's fair to say things have been competitive so far.
Nordic Combined
Here's a stat, and an annoying one, no Brit has competed in Nordic Combined at the Games for 84 years.
We need more snow and far more people hurtling off jumps on this island.
Still, we're wicked at darts eh?
Nordic Combined
The Nordic Combined mixes a ski-jump stage and a cross-country skiing stage.
Jumps are judged for length and style, with athletes given points for their effort. Those points then help create a handicap system for the cross-country ski.
At the end of the jump stage Japan's Ryota Yamamoto jumped 108 metres and has 133 points. Austria's Lukas Greiderer is second on 123.4 points. That difference will mean Yamamoto starts the ski with a 38 second lead.
The ski is 10km long, so plenty of snow to cover and time for the chasing pack to reel their man in.
Here's your man Ryota by the way. Look at him, part man, part eagle, part rocket.
Men's preliminary round
Russian Olympic Committee make the breakthrough with just 2.7 seconds left of the first period!
Anton Slepyshev goes behind the net before hooking a backhand across goal that deflects off Switzerland's Enzo Corvi and into his own goal.
It's tough on the Swiss, who had battled hard during the opening period.
The Nordic Combined men have been sending themselves into the Ozone layer before gliding back to earth.
We will bring you the very latest next as they've just completed the jump stage.
In a nutshell, they all jumped a long way, they all landed well and they're all a right proper bunch of daredevils.
Women's slalom
Matt Chilton
Commentator on BBC TV
"Mikaela Shiffrin is still seated by the side of the course, with several US team-mates beside her."These words by of very own Matt Chilton summed up how utterly dejected American pre-Games favourite Mikaela Shiffrin was after she crashed out of the Olympics for the second time in three days.
It is another one of the key day-five takeaways as we continue our morning round-up. You can watch the moment above.
Men's preliminary round
The Russian Olympic Committee are the bookmakers' favourites to retain their Olympic title, even without NHL stars like Alex Ovechkin, Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevsky.
But they are being held at arm's length by eighth seeds Switzerland so far, with Swiss goalkeeper Reto Berra in defiant mood.
It's still goalless as we approach the end of the first period.
Women's snowboard cross
As we near 9am here in the UK we can catch you up on the night's key happenings.
We've already told you about Charlotte Bankes' difficult day in the women's snowboard cross and another key overnight moment saw the USA land a first gold medal of the Games.
Lindsey Jacobellis finally won gold in the women's snowboard cross at the age of 36 - 16 years after blowing her chance of gold at Turin 2006.
There are still three gold medals to be won on day five in Beijing, in the luge doubles, Nordic combined individual and short track speed skating men's 1500m.
Here's what you can expect over the next few hours (all times in GMT):
Men's Preliminary Round
It's ice hockey time!
The men's preliminary round is under way. First up is a Group B match between the Russian Olympic Committee and Switzerland.
A quick reminder of the format in the men's competition:
The 12 teams have been seeded according to their world ranking and split into three groups. The three group winners, plus runner-up with the best record, advance directly to the quarter-finals.
Teams ranked fifth to 12th are then placed into seeded single play-off matches (the fifth-ranked team meets the 12th ranked side, sixth plays 11th and so on). The four winners progress to the quarter finals.
Simple, yes?

It was so close in the snowboard cross Charlotte Bankes looked so strong and at the end she almost couldn't find the words.
I think it was just one of those races, it just wasn't going to be her day.
Women's snowboard cross
Just joining us? We hope you've slept well and feel ready for a bit more mayhem on the snow/ice/insert other cold thing.Overnight Great Britain's best medal hope Charlotte Bankes suffered a shock quarter-final exit in the women's snowboard cross at the Winter Olympics.
The 26-year-old, a strong favourite to add the Olympic title to her 2021 World Championship crown, finished third in her last-16 race.
She told BBC Sport: "This is my worst result of the season and having that at the Olympics is tough. I'm just sorry for everybody that's watching and all the team that around me."
