Great Britain's curling skip Bruce Mouat speaking to BBC: "Really happy with the performance, it felt like it was a new event compared to yesterday so happy with how we controlled that. Proud of the guys for such a good performance."

On facing USA in semi-final: "It was a while ago so it's hard to remember the game (the 9-7 loss to USA on Friday) but that wasn't our best performance. We've been playing really well after that and we came right back and bounced back against the Norwegians and played one of our best games.

"If we go out and play our best game then we'll be tough to beat, we're playing really well and I'm really happy with how we're communicating out there. We will just have to try and replicate what we did out there today."

The whole way that Great Britain have conducted themselves on their shot play, their stone position is first class all the time they are putting pressure on the opposition from the word go.

We really controlled the game - Canada were chasing us constantly, they didn't look like building up a big end all game.

They have been so composed all week, they had that one loss in the round-robin but every game they have been in control, they look relaxed and happy.

This team have played so well all week and deserve to be where they are going into the semi-final ranked as number one. Now we move on to the semi-final and that's different but my goodness they're playing well.

The United States, who won gold in the men's curling four years ago, have secured their place in the semi-finals, thanks to a 7-5 victory over Denmark.

It's Great Britain next in the final four for the US, with that one getting going at 12:05 GMT. The winner will be guaranteed at least a silver medal.

Model, actor, activist...oh and freestyle skier too. Gus Kenworthy is a busy man, but all his focus today will be on making the halfpipe final at what is his last Winter Olympics.

Kenworthy won slopestyle silver for the United States eight years ago but switched allegiance to Team GB in 2019, in order to represent the country of his birth, and his mother's country, at his final Games.

I spoke to him last night and asked how he was finding wearing the red, white and blue of a different nation.

"It feels amazing, I feel very, very comfortable and I just love all of the staff at GB Snowsport and Team GB," he told me.

"I’ve felt very welcomed and supported, so it’s been lovely. I kind of wish I’d done it sooner."

They'll be back for their semi-final at 12:05 with the chance to guarantee at least a silver.

It looks like they'll face the USA - who are leading Denmark 7-5.

Not long now before the women's gold medal match in the ice hockey as Canada take on the United States at 04:10 GMT.

This is the seventh time this event has been at the Winter Olympics and no country has won gold other than Canada (four times) and the United States (twice).

The US won gold four years ago, beating Canada 3-2 in the final.

Eileen [Gu] looks so relaxed out there - if you watch her runs technically she hits them so well and the height that she gets on all of her tricks too. That's the key - the combination of the height and technicality and we know she has got more tricks than this.

She will be very happy sitting in that first spot going into finals - tactically, knowing what everyone else has done, she will be happy knowing that.

Wasn't it awesome that Zoe Atkin said she had more tricks up her sleeve too - especially because she said she had a chance, after putting down that first run, to try some tricks that she hadn't even practiced so I think that's a really positive sign.

I don't know what these new tricks are! She seems positive about them though, she could challenge for those medal spots.

And this is how Eileen Gu sparkled and amazed during her run to storm through into the final as the best qualifier.

First in qualifying, China's Eileen Gu speaking to BBC: "Honestly I am having so much fun - I have to keep pinching myself to remind me that it's real.

"As I've progressed through my events, this is my fifth event including qualifiers and finals and I'm the only person who's made the finals of all three events. So I'm kind of taking a step back and enjoying it - marvelling at the opportunity to be here on this world stage and be having fun in front of the world is all I can ask for.

"Halfpipe is probably my favourite event in terms of fun, because of the flow of the pipe and the ability to link tricks so quickly that's what it's all about for me. I'm dropping in and just reminding myself to have fun."

It's fantastic curling from Team GB right now.

When they get in front, they are so hard to catch. Brad Gushue was left with another difficult draw to salvage one, and it comes up short.

A three-score lead with two ends left. With the USA winning 7-3 against Denmark, GB are on course to meet them in the last four.

Freestyle skier Zoe Atkin qualified in fourth place for Friday's halfpipe final - raising hopes of a maiden Team GB medal at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Atkin, 19, put down a best run of 86.75 as she made her Games debut - four years after older sister Izzy won GB's first Olympic medal on skis.

China's favourite Eileen Gu topped qualification with a best of 95.50.

GB's Gus Kenworthy is in men's qualifying action from 04:30 GMT.

Team GB's Zoe Atkin speaking to BBC: "I was really nervous, sometimes qualifying can be even more nerve-racking than finals so I just wanted to put one down - after I landed my first run I was like 'phew, pressure's all off' so I put an extra trick in there that I hadn't trained just to try and I'm really happy I landed it to make finals.

"It's so much fun - the course is perfect and I'm having so much fun skiing it. It was so fast today, I just launched out of the halfpipe and it feels like you're flying. I'm having a great time.

"I do have a couple of tricks that I might be putting in tomorrow but you'll have to watch and see!"

Over in the women's alpine combined event, we're about half-way through the pack in the first part of the event - the downhill.

Skiers compete in the downhill and the slalom before their times are combined to give them an overall time and determine the medals.

Austria's Christine Scheyer leads the way with a time of 1.32.42 - with the Czech Republic's Ester Ledecka, who has already won gold in the snowboard parallel slalom, just ONE hundredth of a second behind her.

Ramona Siebenhofer of Austria currently sits third while two-time Olympic gold medallist Mikaela Shiffrin sits in fifth.

Can the 19-year-old grab a medal for Great Britain tomorrow, just as her sister Izzy managed four years ago when she collected bronze in the slopestyle?

American Devin Logan will not be getting a place in the final as a birthday present as her second run unravels with a loose landing on her first trick.

She manages to stay upright for the whole routine but the score of 62 is not an improvement and she'll be no better than 13th with only 12 advancing to tomorrow's final.
