Women's curling semi-final: Sweden 8-7 Great Britain (after eight ends)

    Numerous outcomes here.

Anna Hasselborg looks to bump a stone at the front and knock a British stone out of the way.

That's what she does but it is not enough to claim two. One will have to do...

Glares are sharpening, brows more furrowed.

Thought it couldn't get more tense? It's just gone up a notch with more levels to go.

Eve Muirhead stares down the ice, pupils fixed on stone.

What a shot! She nails her final stone, leaving one British and one Swedish equi-distant in the house and surrounded by other stones.

Time for a time out for the Swedes. Their coach comes in for a team-talk and a tactical chat.

He mentions taking out the guard and drawing in for a two.

Anna Hasselborg takes this advice on board, removing the British foot-soldier on the door.

It's always satisfying to hear the clunk of granite on granite, and that was a brilliant shot by Sara McManus. Suddenly Sweden are lying two and GB have something to think about.

Time for Sarah McManus to hoy out a Brit or two. Lots of weight in the Swede's stone, scattering the stones - like she's just broken at the Crucible - and leaving her team lying two.

Britain's Vicky Wright curls in from the right, looking for the only gap available.

The sweepers go hard with the brush, but it stops just short of nudging a Swedish stone.

There are SEVEN stones packed into the centre of the board.

Feels like a Swedish scatter ball is coming...

Things have not got much better for Mica McNeill and Montell Douglas in the bob.

The British pair were slightly slower in their second run than they were in their first.

They are 12th out of the 13th runners so far as the first and second run times are added together.

The medals are doled out after four runs - today's two and another two tomorrow - are added together.

Britain are not going to be bothering the podium.

Not by much but it is a two for Great Britain. You have to just hang on to the hope because they are level after seven, keeping Sweden within touching distance.

Every single time it looks as if one team is going to get a big advantage it changes, but Great Britain get their two.

And that's exactly what happens! Just.

Eve Muirhead lacks a bit of oomph on her stone, leading to some furious sweeping from her team-mates to get over the line.

Two for Britain and we're all square. All the sevens. Three tense, nerve-jangling ends to go...

Anna Hasselborg raises her eyebrows. She's put Sweden back to lying three with her first stone.

That's led to a British pow-wow being called by Eve Muirhead.

A quick deliberation leads to her skating back up the ice with purpose and a clear plan

"CURL!" she barks. It does and knocks out a Swedish stone. Applause from the British crew in the stands.

Eve was really unlucky, she just didn't quite get right round there she was close to being perfect. But she was in there for second shot and she forced Anna to make that shot.
