Having needed hip surgery at the start of this cycle and faced doubts about whether she would ever make it back to the top, she's now a few hours away from potentially clinching her lifetime goal of a gold medal.

So, it looks like a medal is beyond the reach of GB's four-man bobsleigh team.

But is it going to be gold or silver for the women's curlers?

We're heading towards the business end of the fourth end, as Vicky Wright places a central guard to add further protection to the yellow lurking on the button.

First you can hear it on the track overhead and then it comes catapulting past. You wouldn’t even have to blink to miss it.

This is a very good start that is continuing for Great Britain.

They take the hammer into the fourth end and they’ve turned it around to have the hammer in the even ends which is always good if it carries through to the finish of the match.

It's hard to underestimate the importance of getting two in that first end. Both for confidence, and scoreboard advantage.

It allows GB to control the game. We saw just how hard it was for Bruce Mouat's team to come back against Sweden yesterday.

It's a blank third end, which allows GB to keep the hammer as they hope for a better situation next time around.

Team Muirhead remain one up. So far, so good.

Britain's four-man bobsleigh team have fallen 1.17 seconds off the lead time after their third run.

More importantly, they are now 0.52 seconds off the medal positions in sixth place.

Can Team Muirhead add to their early advantage here and really put the pressure on Japan?

Japan have two reds in the house, but Vicky Wright sends both spinning away with a superb shot! Really nicely done.

Britain's four-man bobsleigh team will be looking to produce a strong finish, with Brad Hall's men still in medal contention in sixth place after the opening two runs.

They are 0.69 seconds off the lead, but less than one-third of a second behind bronze.

Hailey Duff set up that end inch perfect and Japan spent the entire end chasing it.

Britain are playing very well, all four of them.

They couldn’t have asked for a better start.

Here's that final stone from Eve Muirhead which gave GB a 2-0 lead in the first end. The perfect start to this final.

Satsuki Fujisawa with the final stone of the second end... It'll just be a single for Japan.

Another good end for GB who posed plenty of problems for their opponents. They'll have the hammer next.
