  1. 'This is going to be a tough race'published at 18:37 British Summer Time 8 May

    Supersport (four laps)

    Philip McCallen
11-time race winner on the BBC Sport website

This is going to be a tough race.

Dean Harrison finished second [in the Superbikes] and he starts in pole position so he thinks he should win this race. Davey Todd won the last race and he is in third position and he thinks he should do it as well. Richard Cooper is in the middle and he definitely wants to win.

Lets not forget about the two boys behind them, Paul Jordan is there and Michael Dunlop, if he can get that Ducati together, he'll be fighting for the win.

Honda's Dean Harrison pipped Richard Cooper to pole position in Supersport qualifying at the North West 200.

Harrison, who has never won at the North West 200, claimed top spot with his final lap to beat Cooper, who took pole in the Supertwins, by just 0.104 seconds.

Davey Todd was third, Michael Dunlop was fourth on his Ducati and Peter Hickman was fifth.

Paul Jordan and Adam McLean continued their strong performances in qualifying in sixth and seventh, while Jamie Coward was another strong contender in eighth.

Mike Browne was ninth, but Alastair Seeley, who has more victories in than any other rider at the North West 200, was only 10th in qualifying.

  4. 'The Honda is so unsteady'published at 18:31 British Summer Time 8 May

    Lee Johnston
    Five-time winner on BBC iPlayer

Michael Dunlop was a little bit too steady in the opening laps and honestly I think Dean Harrison had the pace to win the race but the Honda is so unsteady at high speed. We saw that in a couple of the slipstreams.

Not to take away from Davey Todd, who rode superbly at the front to win the race.

"A one and two would have been nice, I got all the way to the back of him [Dean Harrison] but I lost the rear out of Church corner and nearly spat myself over the handlebars on the last lap."

    That winning moment.

Dean Harrison pushed him all the way but had to settle for second place.

He came so close last year, but Davey Todd can now call himself a Superbike winner at the North West 200.
