I can still only see Pierre Gasly's Alpine sitting in the pit-lane, no Esteban Ocon's car for the time being, still a lot of action going on outside of Ocon's garage.

Drivers are starting to get their helmets on and get back into their cars, it's the hottest it's been this weekend and I think these drivers are a bit hot and bothered.

The stewards have more work to do, as they are going to take a look at that first-lap incident between the two Alpines of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.

Kevin Magnussen spoke to Sky Sports after the crash: "I think it's something they [the stewards] will look at. It's a big crash, from my point of view I was there and I got squeezed to the wall."

The next radio message to be played out as the cars headed back to the pits earlier on is from Lewis Hamilton, who tells his Mercedes pit wall "I told you guys. I told you guys," which probably relates to the hard tyre choice at the start of the race.

McLaren picked up some of that damage to Oscar Piastri's car who started in P2. They are just working on that, damage to the floor and side pods.

Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris were just some of the drivers to jump straight on the radio to ask if the drivers involved in the crash were OK. Piastri follows up his concern by asking his team to check for any damage to his car after that tag from the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz.

  8. Race will restart at 14:44 BSTpublished at 14:32 26 May

The Monaco Grand Prix will resume shortly in the original start order, but without Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen.

  9. No further investigation on Perez-Magnussen crashpublished at 14:29 26 May

Kevin Magnussen stays on 10 penalty points. The stewards have decided no further investigation is needed into that opening-lap collision between the Red Bull and Haas.

  10. 'There is a real risk that he is going to get a race ban'published at 14:27 26 May

Kevin Magnussen is on 10 penalty points out of 12 [this season] and he might get penalty points on causing that crash.

Some people might argue that he could have backed out of that because it's a narrow space and he obviously wasn't going to get past.

I'm not saying he will get points but there is a real risk that he is going to get a race ban.

  11. Sainz stays third at restartpublished at 14:25 26 May

What must Charles Leclerc be thinking now? The Monegasque will stay in his pole position when we restart and more importantly for his race win hopes, Carlos Sainz will line up in his original P3 slot.

Sergio Perez, I've never seen a car actually be a passenger, he had no control over that, he didn't know what was happening to him, he was just spinning round.

That was a really unusual incident with three cars.

From a team perspective, you are starting to relook at things like strategy, do you need to change tyres. There is an opportunity to change tyres here and try something different.

  15. Red flagpublished at 14:17 26 May

    Lap 1/78

Sergio Perez, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg all exited their cars safely after that huge crash. German Hulkenberg looks unimpressed as he heads back to the garage.

The TV replays are showing us another collision during the first lap! This time it's the two Alpine drivers as Pierre Gasly in 10th feels the brunt of his competitive team-mate Esteban Ocon in 11th. Gasly is furious with Ocon's driving over the team radio.

Massively disappointed for the Haas team who already had a disappointing afternoon on Saturday having been disqualified from qualifying.

  18. Red flagpublished at 14:13 26 May

At the front of the grid, Carlos Sainz had to use the run-off at Casino Square after his tyre picked up a puncture from that fight with Oscar Piastri at the race start. The Spaniard's pit wall said they were also checking the front wing.

I think it was Magnussen's front left, Perez' rear right, Perez moved over on Magnussen but it was just a racing incident in my opinion.
