Jersey's Team Jets kept themselves in the hunt for promotion with a comfortable 47-28 win over Raychem at Les Ormes.

In what was the Jets' final home game of the season, they led 10-8 after the first quarter.

By half-time they had extended the advantage to 22-13 and from there never looked like losing their lead.

"I thought we were in control all the way through," Jets coach Linda Andrews told BBC Radio Jersey.

"We just gave everybody in the squad court time, it takes a while to adjust but I think we did really well.

"We've just got to keep going, win our games, and see if Saints slip up."

The island-based side had gone into the weekend one point below South West Regional One leaders Cornwall Saints.

Jets finish their campaign with a double-header next weekend, away at Weston on Saturday and then Galmington on Sunday.
