Ruby Evans has submitted a request for a review for her floor score - this is for when gymnasts feel their difficulty value hasn't been counted high enough.

Jake Jarman did the same on Saturday and scored an extra 0.2.

Twelve years after being inspired to try archery after watching the film 'Brave', 19-year-old Penny Healey is making her Olympic debut.

Brave? Not Robin Hood Prince of Thieves?

Healey was shortlisted for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year following a 2023 season in which she claimed two European golds, and already this year she has won European Grand Prix gold on home soil and her first individual World Cup title.

There's plenty of support in the crowd for her and teammates Bryony Pitman and Megan Havers here with cries of 'let's go GB!' and Union Jack flags waving around the ground.

The French flags are out in force at La Defense this morning and there is only one name on everyone's lips - Leon Marchand.

The swimmer is probably second only to Antoine Dupont as the biggest French name at these Games and races for the first time in the 400m individual medley heats (10:15 BST).

This morning we also have the heats of the men's 200m freestyle (10:00). Team GB have 2023 world champion Matt Richards and Tokyo silver medallist Duncan Scott in those races.

    Men's doubles badminton

British pair Ben Lane and Sean Vendy face an uphill battle after losing a tight opening game against top seeds Wang Chang and Liang Weikeng of China in the men's doubles badminton.

The Chinese duo took the first game 21-18 meaning Lane and Vendy have to win the second to force a decider in the best-of-three match.

After losing their opening match yesterday, the Brits need to win to keep their hopes of progressing from the group alive.

Great Britain's women are in action shortly in the team event. They finished ninth in Tokyo three years ago but only Bryony Pitman remains from that squad with some exciting young talent entering the fray in Paris.

It's a tough ask though for Team GB as they face Germany, who are the current world champions and bronze medalists at this year's European Championships.

The winner here will progress to the quarter-finals.

For those thinking 'wow, that looks like a long way' - yes, it really is a very long way.

I don't think it comes across on TV just how far these arrows zip through the air. It's a distance of 70m, the length of THREE tennis courts.

Essentially the archers shoot towards a round target split into 10 coloured scoring rings with the middle ring worth 10 points - the highest score - and that ring is about the size of a CD.

I'm not going to lie, I can't actually see the arrow when it's released from the bow - it's travelling at a speed of 140mph on average - so I have no idea how these judges reveal the score so quickly.

Becky Downie kept those headphones on until the very last moment as it seemed to work as she has put in another good routine on beam. She had a wobble but managed to somehow stay on the 10cm-wide apparatus to avoid a more costly deduction.

Kinsella follows her and also stays on, fighting a couple of times against gravity, but it feels like Downie's brilliant bars performance has put GB back on track.

Just the floor to go now.

Another day, another stunning Paris 2024 venue.

This morning I'm out at Les Invalides on the banks of the Seine, which is home to the archery. Almost directly opposite is the Grand Palais - which hosts taekwondo and fencing - the two are separated by the famous Alexander III bridge.

This beautiful building contains monuments and museums all focused on France's military history.

It also contains a shrine of some of France's leading military figures, most notably the tomb of Napoleon.

It really is an absolutely stunning place, the gardens, the architecture, and thankfully, the sun is shining brightly on it today.

It's a quieter day for athletes from Northern Ireland in Paris on Sunday but an important one for boxer Aidan Walsh.

The only athlete from Northern Ireland to win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 faces home favourite Makan Traore (10:32 BST) in the last-32 of the men's 71kg.

Walsh almost walked away from the sport after the Tokyo Games and qualified at the final attempt.

On the water, Rebecca Shorten will compete in the women's four alongside double Olympic champion Helen Glover (11:30 BST), while Rebecca Edwards will also be aiming to escape the heats in the women's pair (9:30 BST) - both for Team GB.

Fermanagh duo Nathan Timoney and Ross Corrigan are in action for Ireland in the men's pair (10:00 BST).

After a successful start in the hockey, David Ames will lead GB against South Africa in their second group match, and Ashleigh Orchard could feature as Ireland start their Women's Rugby Sevens campaign against Great Britain at 14:30 BST and South Africa (18:00 BST).

Fantastic from Becky Downie. Surely she is going to be in the bars final, it was absolutely magnificent. It was packed with difficulty and packed with emotion. You can see what it means to her.

That was brilliant, she couldn't have done her routine any better than that. The relief, the build-up, everything and she delivered.

She gets a score 14.666, a difficulty of 6.6. She should make it [to the final]. She can go more difficult than that if she gets into the final but it will be a long and rather uncomfortable wait for Great Britain's Becky Downie.

We've had two falls and a shaky one from Georgia-Mae Fenton. This is a big one for Becky.

She sticks the landing, well done Becky Downie. That was massive for the team and will do wonders for morale.

As an athlete, you put all your trauma to one side of your brain to allow you to perform. When you've achieved your goal, your brain unlocks and it relieves pressure on you. You can see that with Becky.

This was a big moment for Becky Downie - both personally and also for the team after uneven bar mistakes for Ruby Evans and Alice Kinsella before her.

Huge cheers from a crowd and a big smile from her as she steps up and delivers a routine packed with skills and finished with a perfectly landed double twisting somersault.

She gets a huge score of 14.666, which she will hope will be enough to get her into the apparatus final.

It was a long, long wait for that score! A puff out of the cheeks, she's relieved and very happy.

It's a mixed bag for GB on the uneven bars, their second rotation. Georgia-Mae Fenton performed a solid routine, both Alice Kinsella and Ruby Evans fell but Becky Downie nails a sensational routine with a huge score of 14.666.

They finish the rotation with a score of 39.399 and move on to the beam next.

Becky Downie has got three different routines and I don't think she can do her more basic routine and make the final here.

I don't think she has to go for the absolute most difficult routine either but she needs to set herself apart to command the score that she will need for the final.
