    Another montage.

This time we're watching the Olympic torch on its journey across the globe.

That reminds me, I've got Celebrity Race Across the World to finish once this Games is done and dusted.

The flame has been settle and at times suspended above Paris over the last couple of weeks, it'll start it's journey to Los Angeles shortly.

We're heading into the home straight of this closing ceremony with more focus on that handover to the United States, who host in 2028, to come over the next 30 minutes or so.

    My moment of the Games

    Former Team GB swimmer

We were so lucky to be in that magical place, La Defense Arena, the swimming pool, where Olympic history was made with a home star in Frances’s Leon Marchand whose fans lifted the roof every time he swam. A wave of sound.

For the first time in my memory, as someone who's been to 13 Olympic Games my “moment” was when everyone at the Stade de France stopped to watch Marchand on their mobile take his fourth gold.

Such a special thing sends shivers down the spine. It’s wonderful to still see unique things after 50 years.

It's got a Super Bowl feel to it with the stage in the middle of the pitch - you've got to feel the USA will smash this when they host the Olympics in 2028.

Thomas Mars, lead singer of Phoenix, is loving it.

He jumps into the crowd of athletes to finish off this set.

Down comes the confetti and France have done their job as far as the music section goes.

    Phoenix are killing it tonight.

A rendition of 1901 has all of those athletes bouncing around at the side of the stage.

The officials have managed to clear the stage of wandering athletes, and everyone's got a slightly better view in the upper levels of the stadium again.

After that more chilled-out interlude of Playground Love by Air, the proverbial torch is back to Phoenix as they tear into their second song, 1901 - this time with the aid of Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig.

    My moment of the Games

    Vicky Holland
    Olympic triathlete bronze medallist

Perhaps unsurprisingly my moment came in the men’s triathlon when pre race favourite, our very own Alex Yee, looked totally beaten yet with less that a kilometre to go dig deep and found something extra to overhaul a 15 second deficit and sprint to victory.

It was a stunning turn of events and was truly snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and a real lesson in never giving up. It’s not over until it’s over!

Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend is here too.

Nothing like a bit of indie to get you through.

If we are ever going to have a Billie Eilish & Snoop Dogg collab, it would happen at the Olympics. Here’s to hoping 🤞

Athletes climb onto a stage in the Stade de France

What's going on now? The stadium announcer twice asks athletes to leave the stage - after a crowd of them clamber up.

It's not clear whether this is part of the plan.

Anyway - it's over to French band Phoenix, with their rendition of Lisztomania.

I was overcome to see Matt Hudson-Smith run one of the fastest 400m races in history and remind us all that the journey is better than the outcome. Thank you Matt!
