Anon: What a final between Alcaraz and Djokovic that's one of the best tennis matches I have seen. I feel so happy for Djokovic but also I feel very bad for Alcaraz but I think his time will come in Los Angeles 2028.
Philip: The future of men's tennis is in the hands of Carlos Alcaraz, but I am delighted today for Novak Djokovic, he is a true legend of the sport and it is fitting he has the Olympic gold he wanted so much as he comes to the end of such an incredible career. People should "get off his back", he deserves huge, huge, huge respect where tennis is concerned.

Nothing beats the home stretch of a golf major.
What do you mean it isn’t a major?
You’re right, it’s not. But it does feel like one.

It has been a great year on and off the course for Scottie Scheffler. Back to back PGA Tour player of the year for the past two years, world number one, claimed his second green jacket at the Masters, PGA player's champion for the second successive year - and he year his son Bennett was born. Can he add an Olympic gold to his already incredible trophy cabinet?
Gymnastics - men's vault final
It's third time lucky for Harry Hepworth after finishing fourth in the men's team final and seventh on the rings.
That's the 36th medal of Paris 2024 for Team GB and he becomes the first-ever British male to win a medal in this event.
You can almost hear the roar from Leeds gymnastics club here!
Men's golf
Great Britain's Tommy Fleetwood has a tricky lie in the rough down the left side of the 17th.
He does really well to rescue things with a class approach which skids forwards and nestles at the back edge of the green.
Fleetwood is on -19, a co-leader with American Scottie Scheffler who is in the clubhouse.

Artur Davtyan is so precise in the air and he tends to stick the vault without any steps back.
Jake Jarman has been pushed off the podium but one thing is for certain, Great Britain have their first ever Olympic vault medal. Two would be better.
This is how much it meant to Novak Djokovic to finally claim that gold medal.

Scottie Scheffler has a long, downhill birdie putt to take a 20 under lead to the clubhouse.
It looks good, very good, but then a late swerve and the American misses. He tidies up for par to hit a 62 final round and finish on 19 under. Will that be enough?
Co-leader Tommy Fleetwood is ready on the 17th but starts by driving one into the rough.

We have just watched greatness. Two months ago he left this court needing knee surgery and now he has something her has wanted for two decades.
He is not fully fit. He didn't play his best match.
There is no-one like him.

To the left, Tommy Fleetwood on the 16th.
To the right, Scottie Scheffler on the last.
These two are duking it out now and the roar which greets Fleetwood levelling will be heard by the American.
So tense, never tenser.
