    Tension is biting.

Jon Rahm, after tearing up the front nine, has got lost on the way home.

A double bogey on the 14th sees him slide off the podium.

Tommy Fleetwood keeps a steady hand on the tiller with a par.

The Brit now shares the lead with Scottie Scheffler!

On the 15th fairway, he confidently finds the dance floor, unlike McIlroy earlier and playing partner Xander Schauffele.

The biggest vault of Jake Jarman's life today.

The level of difficulty out there is second to none.

He did very well to control that speed.

Brits off to flying vault startpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 4 August

    Men's vault final

    Jess Anderson
    BBC Sport in Paris

What a start for the Brits in this vault final!

It's perhaps not the order we expected them to be in with Harry Hepworth sitting top of the pile and Jake Jarman in second so far.

Hepworth's second vault was absolutely brilliant - two-and-a-half twists - and scored a massive 15.066.

Jarman also delivers two huge vaults but it's not enough to topple his compatriot!

And now they have an agonising wait to see where that will leave them in the overall standings with five more gymnasts to go...

  11. gymnastics

Jarman into secondpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 4 August

    Gymnastics - men's vault final

A deep breath from Jake Jarman as he composes himself for the first vault and he flies through the air with a three-and-a-half twist... but there's a little stumble on the landing.

15.100 for that first attempt. That's the highest score of this final so far!

Jarman looks tidy with his second vault - again there is a slight stumble on landing - but it looks good.

He scores 14.766 to earn an average score of 14.933.

That's enough to put him in second and behind only Harry Hepworth.

A Team GB one-two as it stands.

    Still five to go.

So a terrible refereeing decision has decided Amber Rutter gets Silver. If VAR type technology has been used in other competitions how can it not be used in the Olympics? Awful!

    Jasper in Verwood

Can Amber Rutter not contest that decision with it being a hit? Gold to be shared?

Why didn’t anyone check the replay? Rutter was robbed.

Jon Rahm is stunned I can tell you. All day long if he hits a good tee shot there is going to knock the ball on that green, and almost certainly make a four. That feels like a triple bogey.

    Women's road race - 60km to go

There's a crash at the back of the peloton as Margot Vanpachtenbeke and Milagro Mena hit the deck before scrambling back on their bikes.

Meanwhile, Hanna Tserakh and Fariba Hashimi have gone clear at the head of the race, and it's all kicking off at the front of the peloton, with wave after wave of attacks coming as they pick up the pace.

Harry Hepworth's execution was neater than Nazar Chepurnyi who went first.

The knees are just a little bit closer together. Good distance from the platform as well, that's where the judges are looking.

He goes and nails two vaults like that. Of the average, they are the two best vaults. He's got to be in first place. Phenomenal vaulting.

    Now you're cooking!

    Amy Lofthouse

If you’re a tennis neutral, or a Carlos Alcaraz fan, you’ll feel this match deserves to go three sets.

If you’re Novak Djokovic, you want it wrapped up in two. We’ve just rocked over the two and a half hour mark and unbelievably, both of them still look fresh, despite the ridiculous amount of running around they’ve been doing.

    Shooting - Women's skeet final

Lovely scenes at the end of this women's skeet final as Amber Rutter celebrates winning the silver medal with her baby boy Tommy, who was only born in April.

There was a bit of controversy as replays of Team GB Rutter's miss in that shoot-off looked to show she clipped the target, but the officials said not.

    She is still smiling though.
