'I can die happy now'published at 14:15 British Summer Time 2 August

    Diving - men's synchro 3m springboard final

GB bronze medallists Anthony Harding and Jack Laugher spoke on BBC One a little earlier after their men's 3m synchro final earlier.

Harding, on Olympic debut said: "Absolutely amazing. I came into this not knowing how it'd play out.

"I think over the last year my confidence has been knocked through competition in Doha and other competitions and my triple out has been struggling but I somehow managed to find something on that triple out and get it in. On front on the last dive I felt so good and I'm happy we did a big front at the end.

"It wasn't to be to beat China or Mexico but I'm so happy to get the bronze. I can die happy now.

"I always believed I could make it to the Olympics. It's been very difficult. The GB team is so strong to get on the team is so hard so to just be on the team and be an Olympian is the thing I've been dreaming of. To walk away with a medal, with Jack, is amazing."

Laugher added: "We've had a really good day, a shaky start for me. I was a bit nervous in those two dives but I pulled it out of the bag with my hard dives.

"I'm just so proud of what me and Anthony have done. We've worked really hard and had some real ups this year but some major downs.

"We've worked extremely hard on everything. You talk about your triple out and how you did it but - hard work and graft."

Some of the major headlines so far today in Paris:

    • Bryony Page won a silver medal at Rio 2016 and a bronze at Tokyo 2020. In Paris, she has completed the set with a phenomenal final score of 56.480 to win trampolining gold - lifting GB to fourth in the overall medal table.
    • Three years ago, Emily Craig and Imogen Grant missed out on a medal by 0.01 seconds in Tokyo. Today in Paris, they are Olympic champions after a dominant performance in the women's lightweight double sculls.
    • But it was so near but yet so far for Ollie Wynne-Griffith and Tom George in the men's pairs, as they took a significant early lead only to be caught near the line by Croatian brothers Martin and Valent Sinkovic and had to settle for silver.
    • There was bronze in the diving for British pair Anthony Harding and Jack Laugher in the men's synchro 3m springboard - the fourth successive medal won in the diving pool by Team GB out of four finals so far at Paris 2024.
    • Spanish second seed Carlos Alcaraz has breezed into the Olympic men's singles final, beating Canadian 13th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1 6-1. He will play Serbian top seed Novak Djokovic or Italian 11th seed Lorenzo Musetti in Sunday's final. You can keep track of the tennis scores here.

And some events to look out for today:

    • Britain are on course for a medal in the women's windsurfing, where Emma Wilson currently leads. The final stages of that competition take place from 14.30 BST today.
    • This evening in the pool, Ben Proud is through to the men's 50m freestyle final. That's at 19:30 BST, followed by the women's 200m backstroke final with Katie Shanahan and Honey Osrin. Duncan Scott and Tom Dean then go in the men's 200m individual medley final at 19:43.
    • If Beth Shriever and Kye Whyte make it through their semi-finals in the BMX racing, the men's final is at 20:35 with the women's race to follow at 20:50 BST.

    Equestrian - team jumping final

Stay calm, everyone, there is still another round to go, it remains remarkably tight... but Team GB do lead the way and are yet to knock down a fence.

The same goes for France on the fences but they have three time penalties to GB's one. Team USA are third on just four penalty points and Ireland are fourth with a score of five.

Basically, knocking over one fence could be the difference between gold and no medal at all...

'We both knew we had it in us today'published at 13:44 British Summer Time 2 August

Gold for women's lightweight double sculls

Emily Craig and Imogen Grant won Great Britain’s second rowing gold of the Paris Olympics in the women’s lightweight double sculls. Here's what they had to say after their victory.

Imogen Grant: "It feels like an absolute blur, as soon as we set off we were so single minded focussed. we were on a mission today. I think we both knew we had it in us today, the tears was an outpour of training early nights, party and weddings missed, just all of it coming out at once. Emily is the toughest, most incredible person I've had the pleasure to row with. she took me from a clueless single rower to an Olympic champion. She's been there every single step of the way. I kind of want to go out and do it again."

Emily Craig: "It’s so unbelievably simple and difficult to perfect, that's why I love it and hate it in equal measure. I have so much respect for how talented Imogen is. She has so much confidence, the days where I don't know if I can do it, I have to look at her and know it will be fine. There were points today where I needed that. Thank god she’s the person she is."
