This reaction reminds me of watching her when she won that historic silver in Tokyo. I'm so excited.

She was so surprised to get that silver medal and it's the same reaction. I think she knew she'd put in a good routine but then to go to the top of the leaderboard.

We've got goosebumps here in this arena.

Brilliant from Ben Maher on Dallas Vegas Batilly!

He's fractionally over the time but that is the only flaw. Every fence cleared and Great Britain go top of the standings with just a single penalty point.

They stay there at the end of the first round with France second on three penalty points, Germany, Sweden and USA are all on four.

Still more than two rounds to go, though, and it's extremely tight.

Ben Maher is first up for Team GB today, on Dallas Vegas Batilly.

Maher, the individual jumping champion from Tokyo 2020, had been due to ride Point Break here but due to the stallion’s form post-travel, there was a last-minute change.

They had a clear round in qualifying yesterday. Can they repeat that this afternoon to get GB’s campaign off to the perfect start?

    ANOTHER GOLD FOR GREAT BRITAIN!

Bryony Page is the Olympic champion! She came into her routine knowing she had to top Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya's score of 56.060 to take the lead and she did just that.

Page's score of 56.48 did it for the 33-year-old. Incredible.

Bardzilouskaya claimed silver while Canda's Sophiane Methot took bronze.

Great Britain haven’t won a medal in the team jumping since London 2012 - and that was their first in 60 years.

Ben Maher and Scott Brash, who are competing for Team GB today, were in that squad 12 years ago, alongside Peter Charles.

Charles’ son, Harry, completes the trio in 2024.

What a brilliant story that would be if they can medal today.

Four riders down and France have the lead in the first round.

Just four penalty points for Sweden's Henrik von Eckermann on King Edward and inside the 79-second time limit but that is not enough for the lead.

The home crowd go wild as Simon Delestre on I Amelusina R 51 clears all the fences. Three time penalties but Delestre looks delighted. France are the team to beat, albeit it's extremely early days in this final.

Ireland had looked like beating it but one time penalty and Shane Sweetnam hits the last hurdle, knocking the fence down for four faults to drop them to third.
