Wigan are not ruffled when they get their hands on the ball for the first time in the second half.

A deep kick from Harry Smith is easily fielded, and Hull KR come straight back at them.

Again they finish with a high ball, but Jai Field is untroubled.

Hull KR chew up the metres with the first set of the second half.

They keep the ball alive where they can as they run over the halfway line. The kick is deep and they have Wigan where they want for now.

Hull KR need to start fast, they almost need to forget that first half. They need to score first.

It's a really hot day so there are going to be points aplenty in the second half, but they need to be the ones who definitely score first.

It was a magical defensive performance from Wigan. We'll speak about the points they scored, I just don't think they gave Hull KR an opportunity to breathe and get into the game.

Hull KR and the fans around us feel aggrieved. They've absolutely got a case if you look at the opening two tries, the first try in particular. That came off what was a blatant forward pass from Brad O'Neill.

Last week I watched Wigan's second half against Huddersfield and I thought it was the best I've seen from any team, and that's just been been eclipsed.

The complete balance of the side; the kicking game, the execution and the plan, the way they were moving the ball away from the teeth of Hull KR's defence, which I think has let to the amount of missed tackles because they've been getting them in tricky positions.

  8. 'Wigan have been clinical'published at 14:43 British Summer Time 18 May

    HT: Hull KR 0-24 Wigan

    Hull KR winger Ryan Hall:

"I like to keep the referee out of it, my try was a no try and that was the correct decision. You've got to look at ourselves in these games.

"The territory has been played around midfield which is what you want from a semi-final, but Wigan have been very clinical down our end."

  9. 'Still a big 40 to come for Wigan'published at 14:41 British Summer Time 18 May

    HT: Hull KR 0-24 Wigan

Wigan winger Liam Marshall, speaking on BBC One:

"You've got to start fast, it's the key to the game, but there's still a big 40 minutes to go. The first half went as well as we could have imagined but these are a great side so we need exactly the same in the second half.

"Defence wins games so hopefully we can keep it up in the second half."

Gee: At least London scored 22 against Wigan. Hull KR don't look like they have a point in them!

It's relentless for Wigan at the back end of this first half.

There is only a minute left on the clock, but they are after yet another try.

Their latest raid on the line fizzles out with a kick on the left, but Hull KR were worked hard yet again.

The bloke who has been running this game, Harry Smith, gets the reward for his chase in the middle. Fantastic.

It's two tries in two minutes now.

There is a line-up of blue Wigan shirts waiting to rush over the try line with this one.

Liam Marshall dinks the delightful kick back inside from the left and Harry Smith collects it to pile the misery on Hull KR.

Adam Keighran now steps up to the tee and adds the conversion.

  16. try

TRY: Hull KR 0-18 Wiganpublished at 35 mins

    Abbas Miski

And it counts! Wigan are cruising towards Wembley now.

Joe Burgess fumbles a grubber kick from Jake Wardle and Liam Marshall is straight onto the loose ball.

He then just pops up a pass for Abbas Miski to leap over the line. Too easy, that.

And again, Harry Smith is off target with the conversion. The Warriors are leaving points out there with their kicks.

A great effort by Ryan Hall. He had three defenders [tackling him] and he's only a fingertip away from scoring.

  19. NO TRYpublished at 34 mins

    Hull KR 0-14 Wigan

Jai Field, Abbas Miski and Adam Keighran try to force Ryan Hall out of play as he reaches over the whitewash.

They can't shunt him out, but the winger loses the ball over the line. So close.
