  2. 'The aim is to win the whole thing, not just get there'published at 22:16 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Tonight's Hull KR captain James Batchelor speaking to BBC Humberside:

"It feels pretty good but the job's not done. The aim from the start of the season was to win the whole thing, not just get there.

"I don't think I felt nervous but we made it hard for ourselves. We did everything we said we weren't going to do. Let them back into the game and they are a good team so we had to work hard.

"We are focusing on ourselves and focusing on getting that job done next week.

"Any time you get to run out for this club is special. I love this club and I love being here. But it's not about me, it's about the team."

  3. 'Everybody had to step up'published at 22:10 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Hull KR's Dean Hadley speaking with BBC Humberside:

"Awesome effort from the boys. We had to dig in real deep playing last fifteen minutes.

"Warrington are a quality team and they threw loads at us there.

"Everybody in the full team had to step up tonight."

  4. 'Personally, it's cool to get to Old Trafford again'published at 22:07 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Hull KR hooker Matt Parcell speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:

"It's a bit tighter than we would have liked.

"I thought we started really well but Warrington came out of the second-half pretty fired up. We had to work hard to grind that out.

"The atmosphere was here tonight unreal but we have to take it game by game. We knew tonight would be tough.

"Personally I thought it would be really cool that first year over here, we got to Old Trafford and won the trophy so my last year here I get to go to Old Trafford again.

"It's an unbelievable stadium to play at."

  5. 'I knew I was joining an ambitious club but this is outstanding'published at 22:03 British Summer Time 4 October

    FT: Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Hull KR full-back Niall Evalds speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:

"That was some win. The atmosphere is outstanding.

"We are really pleased but we aren't done yet. We've got one more game to go.

"I knew I was joining an ambitious club that were on the up but this is outstanding.

"Play-off rugby isn't pretty at times. It's the gritty 1% that get us wins.

"That second half wasn't good enough from us tonight but you see the character in the team to keep defending.

"We've got a massive week of preparation and I can't wait to walk out there now."

Just by way of context, it is eight years and three days since Hull KR were defeated on golden point in the Million Pound Game at Craven Park by Salford Red Devils.

They were relegated from Super League that day.

    This is some turnaround.

    Congratulations Hull KR! Tremendous achievement.

The off-field operations compliment the on-field.

I think we have to give them a lot of praise as a club. They are doing a lot of good things, the right things.

    They've done it!

Hull KR have held off Warrington Wolves and they will go to the Super League Grand Final for the first time in their history!

They've done it the hard way - the Wire dominated that second half and KR were on the back foot for long stretches of the final 80 minutes.

But the Craven Park faithful won't care. They've booked their place at Old Trafford next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sam Burgess' first season as a head coach comes to an end with a crushing defeat.

Is this the moment that confirms Hull KR will go to the Super League Grand Final for the first time?!

Video referee Jack Smith says there is indeed a knock on from Matt Dufty and Josh Thewlis' try is not given.

Less than a minute remains! Surely KR have done enough?

  10. 'From my perspective, it's a knock on'published at 21:49 British Summer Time 4 October

Former Scotland international on BBC Radio 5 Live

    I'm speechless.

Warrington needed something, it's their last set with the ball. Matt Dufty is someone who can create something out of nothing with his speed.

From my perspective, it's a knock on.

Warrington are over but Matt Dufty has surely knocked on in the build-up.

Referee Liam Moore sends it up to video referee Jack Smith.

    Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Warrington boss Sam Burgess has gone pitchside having been up in the booth for much of this game.

Can his side force a late winning effort for the second week in a row?

    Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Craven Park roars as Josh Thewlis looks to have gone in from Rodrick Tai's last-ditch - and, replays show, forward - pass.

But it's immediately signalled by referee Liam Moore as not given and Hull KR survive.

  14. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Matt Dufty kicks to goal as Warrington run short of tackles and Joe Burgess clutches the ball into his body and down to ground.

That's got to have avoided a certain try but no sooner do Hull KR get going and Ryan Hall cheaply knocks on 15 metres out.

Are nerves beginning to get to the hosts?

It's now or never for Warrington Wolves.

Hull KR are almost loading this right-hand side out of fear that's where they are going to undo them.

    Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

Josh Drinkwater tries to dummy his way through and Hull KR recover.

Warrington's George Williams puts his left boot into the ball and Niall Evalds sheepishly punts the ball dead with a fingertip.

KR are forced to kick from their own goal-line. Can Warrington make this immense level of pressure count?

  17. 'Hull KR feeling the pace'published at 21:41 British Summer Time 4 October

    Hull KR 10-8 Warrington

    Nick Pinkney
Ex-Hull KR captain on BBC Radio Humberside

Rovers are just starting to feel the pace of the game.

They've got to get back into the swing, get some energy.

Warrington are turning the screw and Hull KR have completely lost their way.

    Big turnaround, this.

    Wow.

It was a crazy piece of play.

We called it beforehand, how tight this game was going to be.

We could argue Hull KR were more efficient in the first-half but Warrington have had some spells with possession. It's 10-8 - there's not much in it.
