Hull KR winger and player of the game Joe Burgess speaking to BBC Sport:

"It was a tough encounter. That's the toughest game we've had this year. The pitch is now drying up, you can tell by the level of skill shown by both sides that it was shifting a lot.

"We constantly keep talking about keep the cycle and we did slip a few times but we got there in the end."

  3. 'We built pressure in the second-half'published at 19:01 13 April

    FT: Hull KR 26-14 Leigh

Hull KR head coach Willie Peters told BBC Sport:

It was a really good game, two teams going at it.

That second half was a lot better for us, we didn't handle that wind too well, it was like it was going against us.

"But I felt like we found that second-half. I just said at half time we weren't sticking to what we planned to do, we had a plan for the second half and they executed really well.

"We built some pressure on teams and then get them at the back end and we did that today."

  4. 'It's an unbelievable moment'published at 18:59 13 April

    FT: Hull KR 26-14 Leigh

Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis speaking to BBC Sport:

"Very disappointed with that first-half. Last couple of weeks, we've really focused on the first-half and not on the second-half and it was the other way today.

"We are really happy now. We'll rest up and go again next week.

"It's an unbelievable moment for me, for the fans. I don't want to dwell on last year but they gave us a taste of it. We didn't speak about it all week because we wanted revenge on them and we've done that. We're really happy.

"We practice every week. We've still got a long way to go but we're really happy."

What a great game it was. The first-half really did belong to the Leopards but in the second-half, the Rovers came out with a completely different skill-set, attitude, whatever - I don't know. Whatever was said at half-time really worked and they've come home comprehensive, deserving winners in what was an excellent quarter-final.

Hull KR are through to the last four of the Challenge Cup and although it doesn't quite make up for the 2023 final loss, it does mean the Robins are closer to a Wembley return.

It was a thrilling game, two tries for Joe Burgess and further scores from Kelepi Tanginoa, Niall Evalds and Elliot Minchella saw the Robins through,

Leigh looked much improved, but again a second-half fade was unable to maintain their momentum. Kyle O'Donnell and Umyla Hanley got their tries.

There's been some great performances on both sides but Joe Burgess has come up with two tries and a try saving tackle. They were absolutely massively big plays and he's been very competent on the high call.

It was crucial because once again it's challenging Leigh to come from further behind.

Niall Evalds can score tries for fun, he really can. When he gets that bit of space, he'll put the foot down and go.

    A well-constructed try.

You can tell what it means to these two teams. I think it's their route to silverware for both of them and it's devastating them on the field. There's such a level of urgency now and intensity.
