    FT: England 4-90 Australia

And so that brings down the curtain on English involvement in the 2025 Rugby League Las Vegas event.

From the entertainment of Wigan v Warrington earlier to a bleak England display against Australia, it's certainly been a night of contrasts.

You have to hope the next time the Jillaroos and Lionesses meet, perhaps England will be able to bridge the gulf in class.

But this is where we must leave you for now.

To all the insomniacs, rugby league anoraks and people with newborns who've followed through our coverage tonight, thanks very much for joining us.

Georgia Roche is in tears on the pitch at full-time. She is embraced by England coach Stuart Barrow and the Australian players.

And so this Test ends with Australia winning by a massive margin over England.

I make that 17 tries for the Jillaroos with three players registering a hat-trick (or better) of tries.

Georgia Roche's score - with the last play of the game - salvages a bit of pride for Stuart Barrow's side after what must have been a brutally disheartening evening in Las Vegas.

The Allegiant Stadium erupts. It's the biggest cheer of the night with two seconds to go.

  6. try

TRY: England 4-90 Australiapublished at 69 mins

    Georgia Roche

    ENGLAND HAVE SCORED!

Georgia Roche, no stranger to the NRLW having won in the 2023 Grand Final, shows some incredible strength to outstretch her right arm to get the ball over the line in the midst of a tackle.

The crowd goes wild. But the conversion hits the post.

  7. Postpublished at 69 mins

    England 0-90 Australia

England have possession with just over a minute left on the clock.

Can they do something with it? At this point why not go for a drop goal, even?

  8. Postpublished at 04:02 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    England 0-90 Australia

    Matthew Elliott
Former Bradford Bulls head coach on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

You've got to feel for these England players. This is not a nice thing to experience on the international stage with 40,000 people in the stadium.

  9. try

TRY: England 0-90 Australiapublished at 66 mins

    Keilee Joseph, goal Tarryn Aiken

    Australia break the 90-point barrier.

Keilee Joseph is sent through and crosses over under the sticks.

Tarryn Aiken successfully kicks the conversion.

  10. try

TRY: England 0-84 Australiapublished at 66 mins

    Jess Sergis, goal Tarryn Aiken

A Jess Sergis hat-trick of tries.

She joins Tamika Upton and Julia Robinson in bagging three or more tries tonight.

England can't stop her and she shows great power and pace to run through, although by this point the Lionesses aren't able to put up much of a fight.

Tarryn Aiken kicks the extras again.

  11. Postpublished at 63 mins

    England 0-78 Australia

Georgia Roche puts in a speculative kick in to goal which bobbles out of play.

I think that just about sums up England's evening, really.

If they were going to avoid a nilling, that was their chance.

  12. Postpublished at 62 mins

    England 0-78 Australia

Ooh er, an uncharacteristic Australia error.

Julia Robinson knocks on from the restart and England, for the first time in ages, win a set of six.

And not just that, in a useful area, deep in the Jillaroos' half.

  13. try

TRY: England 0-78 Australiapublished at 59 mins

    Jess Sergis, goal Tarryn Aiken

Jess Sergis scores a second try for Australia.

She receives the ball in a crowded England 10 but still somehow manages to bully her way through a crowd of bodies and runs through to touch down.

Tarryn Aiken successfully kicks the added two points. Australia are 14 points off equalling their record high score in a competitive fixture.

  14. DISALLOWED TRYpublished at 56 mins

    England 0-72 Australia

There is indeed a double movement and the try is correctly not given.

And so it remains England nil, Australia...72.

  15. TRY REVIEWpublished at 55 mins

    England 0-72 Australia

Jakiya Whitfeld is down again in the corner and Australia are claiming a possible try.

But is there a double movement in the build-up?

  16. Postpublished at 55 mins

    England 0-72 Australia

England are challenging a call of knock on on the field after they seemed to regain possession.

The challenge is unsuccessful. Not sure I agree with the call but at this point why not challenge it?

  17. try

TRY: England 0-72 Australiapublished at 52 mins

    Jakiya Whitfeld

    Yep. Another Australia try.

Jakiya Whitfeld shows incredible strength to shrug off a tackle from Anna Davies to dot down in the corner.

Tarryn Aiken misses a try conversion from the sideline.

  18. Postpublished at 52 mins

    England 0-68 Australia

You can give this all the context you like.

But you have to feel for England at this point. This must be tremendously disheartening.

  19. Postpublished at 03:41 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

    England 0-68 Australia

    Craig Wall
    BBC Sport, at Allegiant Stadium

This is a chastening evening for England. The England bench looks completely shell-shocked. Australia have been on a different level tonight.

  20. try

TRY: England 0-68 Australiapublished at 49 mins

    Jess Sergis, goal Tarryn Aiken

Australia are causing England so many problems.

Pretty much every time the game restarts after an Australia try, they score another.

This time it's Jess Sergis who races in following a move on the left which came after a tremendous Tarryn Aiken pass.

Aiken then converts the try she set up.
