I can't tell you how impressed I am with the structure of play that Jess Skinner's brought into this Australia team. When you see Ali Brigginshaw and Tarryn Aiken, they dig in to the line, they square the defence up and the outside players are getting plenty of space off the back of that.

A sobering first half for England comes to an end.

Australia have rarely moved out of first gear and in all honesty could have scored more than the eight tries they've ended the half with.

Tamika Upton scored a hat-trick of tries in a sublime showing. Were it not for some wayward kicking from Tarryn Aiken the Jillaroos could be even further ahead, too.

The Mexican wave is fully going. They’ve been trying to get it going all afternoon and persistence has finally paid off.

The answer is yes, Australia can add to their try tally before the half-time hooter.

Another Tarryn Aiken assist results in Julia Robinson racing in on the left wing and there's not a lot England can do to stop her.

Aiken misses with the boot again.

    England 0-34 Australia

England spill the ball on their 30-metre line and Australia get the ball back and another set following a scrum.

Just a matter of seconds left in the half but can the Jillaroos add to their try tally?

Tarryn Aiken goes to the line, draws two players towards her. What about the subtlety and skill she has for such a young player at this level? Isabelle Kelly has a smile on her face as she goes over.

I can see the talent in the England team. The difference is the subtlety. The Australians have a good stint of full-time footy, and the time to work on their craft. That last try was a good example of that.

Australia's Sarah Togatuki is off for a head injury assessment - in the aftermath of that earlier tackle by Hollie-Mae Dodd.

Not that her absence from the field extinguishes Australia's momentum one bit.

No sooner does she leave, does Isabelle Kelly touch down in the corner.

Meanwhile, Tarryn Aiken misses the extras again.

    England 0-30 Australia

England win a penalty deep in their own half as Australia are penalised for offside.

A fortunate call as it came shortly after Anna Davies had knocked on having attempted to receive a high kick.

Tamika's gone over for three, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw another couple from her.

If you're coming across and covering in defence, the last player you want to see is Tamika Upton. She just strolls over the tryline.

A first-half hat-trick of tries in under half an hour for Tamika Upton.

Her first career hat-trick comes courtesy of a sumptuous offload from Julia Robinson in the build-up - leaving her to run in virtually unopposed.

Tarryn Aiken misses the kick, however.

Sitting at pitchside, it’s stark how big the Jillaroos are compared to England, and they’ve really exerted their physicality in this opening quarter.

England maintain possession after the restart following that trip to the Bunker.

But any momentum is swiftly quelled as Australia win back the ball - but some hope for England.

They keep the Jillaroos penned in their own half and they're forced to turn the ball over on halfway and the kick that follows has too much on it.

Can England swing in a try before the break?

    England 0-26 Australia

Hollie Mae Dodd puts in a huge tackle on Sarah Togatuki soon after Australia begin another set of six and the ball spills out in the aftermath.

England win back the ball but play is halted soon after to check whether contact was made with Togatuki's head.

They take a look at it in the NRL Bunker but play is waved on after the tackle is deemed fair.

It's not all bleak for England. Anna Davies and Georgie Dagger are both having superb games relatively speaking.

Davies once again dispossesses Australia and feeds Dagger's incredible run deep into Jillaroo territory.

England keep the attack alive and get within their 10 - but Georgia Roche's speculative kick-and-chase on the last is scooped up by Australia.

  16. try

TRY: England 0-26 Australiapublished at 18 mins

    Tamika Upton, goal Tarryn Aiken

What more can I say? This is supremely good rugby league from Australia.

Tamika Upton races in at a canter for her second - and the Jillaroos' fifth - try of the evening.

Tarryn Aiken has her eye in after missing her first two kicks. She nails the two to give Australia a 26-point lead.

  17. try

TRY: England 0-20 Australiapublished at 16 mins

    Shannon Mato, goal Tarryn Aiken

This is getting bleak for England, now.

Another Tarryn Aiken kick resulting in an Australia try and the Jillaroos are really showing their class, now.

Shannon Mato then dashes to ground the ball right behind the posts and Aiken adds the two from yet another easy conversion.

I want to acknowledge the Australia coach Jess Skinner - she's done a fantastic job. They look like they've spent a whole season together, not just a week.

  19. try

TRY: England 0-14 Australiapublished at 13 mins

    Tamika Upton, goal Tarryn Aiken

My word what a sublime try.

Tarryn Aiken puts in an absolutely stunning grubber kick with the outside of her right boot to give the ball just the tiniest bit of spin.

Tamika Upton duly runs in and scores Australia's third try in under a quarter of an hour.

Aiken then adds the two - her first conversion of the evening.
