CONVERTED TRY: St Helens 6-42 Wiganpublished at 74 mins

    Anna Davies, con Isabel Rowe

This is relentless brilliance from Wigan. Fantastic rugby league!

Ellise Derbyshire is inches short of a try as she goes on the outside on the left. But the attack is not over - not by a long chalk.

Wigan continue to push and they work it for Anna Davies to run in the opposite corner.

And then to top the lot, Issy Rowe nails the kick from the touchline.

    Take a bow!

If anyone has deserved an eye-catching distance try, it's that young lady.

Her all-round game has been absolutely tremendous.

She's 60 metres in front and I bet she enjoyed every single stride of that.

The trophy engraver can definitely get to work now!

Saints stand-off Zoe Harris goes for a chip-kick in the middle of the field and can't quite take her own kick.

The ball is loose and Wigan full-back Grace Banks is on it in a flash, sees the gap and she's away!

All of 60 metres and it's a glorious run to the line for the teenager.

Two more points from Isabel Rowe - is there nothing Wigan can't do today?

All that experience, all those winners, it is not going to be St Helens' day.

They have the ball, but deep in their own half and with the scoreboard massively against them.

You'd think it was minute one not minute 68, wouldn't you? With how they are carrying the ball.

    St Helens 6-30 Wigan

It's very early in the season, but Wigan have a 100% record in the Women's Super League and this performance is putting down a great marker as to what may happen for the rest of the campaign.

They force another handling error out of St Helens to regain possession.

Denis Betts on the sidelines must be a very proud coach.

    St Helens 6-30 Wigan

Ellise Derbyshire has a Wembley try in her sights but the Wigan winger coughs the ball up a couple of yards from the line.

One of the few errors we've seen from a cherry and white all game.

And better to do it with a 24-point lead!

In sport, if you're good enough, you're old enough.

And Wigan Warriors are providing a perfect example of that this afternoon.

They continue to keep pushing Saints back towards their own line.

  9. 'Great tactical game from Wigan'published at 13:05 British Summer Time 7 June

Because Wigan are asking questions of those bigger names, those internationals and those players who you expect to step up and take charge, they are really making it difficult for them to do anything when they do get the ball in hand.

It's been a really great tactical game from Wigan. They are forcing those big-name players to make those big-name plays and it's taking out anything going forward in attack.

Wigan have not won a single trophy since victory in the Women's Grand Final in 2018. They are less than 20 minutes away from bringing that run to an end.

And Denis Betts' team are doing it in the grand manner.

I did NOT think St Helens were going to be losing 6-30 in the Challenge Cup final vs Wigan! Isabel Rowe is just next step player!

Wow Saints are doing amateur hour. Has anyone explained how to use the wings and the width of the pitch?

'My word!' - Hunter powers through as Wigan race ahead

    Eva Hunter, take a bow!

A combination of forward's power and winger's speed as Hunter knifes through the defensive line and is then uncatchable as she takes it on the outside, showing a clean pair of heels to grab a memorable score.

Isabel Rowe remains 100% from the tee and that may be that for this game.

Wigan try-scorer Emily Veivers is sat on the bench with her left arm in a sling and looks in a lot of pain.

The Wigan bench don't know if it's a break, but Veivers will not be reappearing in the final quarter.

St Helens have another crack deep in Wigan territory, but the defence holds firm and the ball has to be handed over.

Saints have definitely stepped it up, but the Warriors have not dropped off too much.

Well done St Helens. That showed a bit of resilience, a bit of character.

It's the first time that Faye Gaskin has really took that line on and by doing that, she created a quick play of the ball.

We need more of that from Faye Gaskin but that's the first soft error from the Warriors and St Helens took advantage.

    Katie Mottershead, con Faye Gaskin

Hello! St Helens get over the whitewash.

A rare Wigan mistake from Molly Jones gives St Helens a good platform to attack. The move ends with Faye Gaskin providing a short pass for Katie Mottershead to burst onto and grab the first Saints points.

Gaskin adds the conversion and at last, the four-time Challenge Cup holders have a foothold in the game.

So it wasn't just a decent first half then, eh?

Isabel Rowe adds to her fine kicking with a try of her own. And what a try it is, too.

St Helens look stunned. Their reign in this competition surely looks like it's come to an end unless they can put together one of the comebacks of all comebacks in a final at Wembley.

  19. 'Youthful Wigan spine coming to the forefront'published at 12:49 British Summer Time 7 June

Fantastic from Isabel Rowe, asserts herself and goes for the line and manages to just poke herself through.

I think we are starting to see that youthful Wigan spine coming to the forefront and starting to play with a bit of confidence and that's where they are starting to turn up the points.

It's a long road back for St Helens now and I don't think Wigan are going to take their foot off the pedal.

    Game over?

Wigan underline the difference between the sides in two sets. St Helens cannot find an inch of space in the Wigan defence.

But when Denis Betts' side get the ball, it's a different story as full-back Grace Banks charges through the middle at lightning speed.

It puts Saints on the back foot and it allows fancy footwork from Isabel Rowe to do the rest as she cuts through for a fourth try.

Rowe then converts her own score. 12 points and counting for the teenage scrum-half.
