Both of the tries have pretty much come from the middle.
That's telling a story.

Probably the first quick play of the ball that Wigan have managed to earn and it just opens up that space.
Wigan looking to promote and move that ball around and Saints just happened to be caught flat-footed on that side.
Mary Coleman, con Isabel Rowe
'Wigan taking command!' - Coleman adds second Warriors try
Superb attack and defence rewards Wigan with a second try!
Faye Gaskin has a kick charged down and Wigan exploit that superbly.
Centre Molly Jones runs a superb line from outside to in which completely opens up the Saints defence and she sends in Mary Coleman for an unopposed run under the posts.
Another easy conversion for Isabel Rowe and it's a two-score game.

Again, Wigan created time, they created space.
That's Izzy Rowe with some superb passing but Amy Hardcastle did a great job there looping around on the defence.
She drops out the defensive line and loops to cover her wing player.
Tremendous defence.
St Helens 0-6 Wigan
That is a big tackle from Amy Hardcastle!
Excellent play through the hands from Wigan gets it wide to wing Anna Davies and she goes hard and fast down the line, but Hardcastle sends her into touch.
Fine rugby league all round.

Saints favourites but Wigan have come on leaps and bounds over the past 12 months. The club, Denis Betts and the squad are doing an amazing job, building something very special.

St Helens 0-6 Wigan
Saints get in great position, but centre Amy Hardcastle can't take a pass that is a fraction too high and Wigan see it out.
Another small victory for the cherry and whites in these early stages.
St Helens 0-6 Wigan
Well, Wigan have shown very few signs of nerves so far and that Megan Williams try will only have increased their confidence.
But St Helens force a mistake from Molly Jones, they know a thing or two about how to win these big games.

Massive that for Meg Williams.
Came over from the Saints and wasn't picked to play in the Wembley final last year.
That'll be a really emotional moment for Meg. She's come into this Wigan side and cemented herself in that number 13 shirt.
Megan Williams, con Isabel Rowe
Wigan are rewarded for some great stuff in both defence and attack as they grab the game's first score.
Isabel Rowe with some classic scrum-half play across the line and a short decisive pass which allows Megan Williams to crash through under the posts to score against her old team.
Rowe then adds the extras.
St Helens 0-0 Wigan
Wigan centre Molly Jones senses an opportunity as she tries to make a break towards the line on the last tackle.
But fine defending from Saints holds Jones up a couple of yards short.

A good intercept there, that's bought the Warriors some great field positioning.
Let's see the players off the line and be a little bit physical now with this St Helens team.
This is a young Wigan side full of enthusiasm and energy.
St Helens 0-0 Wigan
Excellent stuff from Wigan as they put in a great kick and St Helens wing Dani McGifford is unable to get out of trouble.
Saints can't get behind halfway with their possession and Wigan be pleased with how they applied the pressure.
St Helens 0-0 Wigan
From that Isabel Rowe mistake, St Helens put pressure on with their set, but the Wigan defence holds up the powerful Channy Crowl on the last tackle.
It's a handover and a good defensive set from the Warriors.
St Helens 0-0 Wigan
This really is a clash between youth and experience.
For Wigan to settle, it's the basics that you need to do well early on and scrum-half Isabel Rowe coughs up the ball in midfield.
An early boost for St Helens.

Kelsey Gentles, Challenge Cup runner-up with York Valkyrie in 2021, speaking to BBC Sport:
"You look at the spine and it's full of 18, 19, 20-year-olds and you think not a chance - but these girls are playing their socks off.
"They've been on fire. I think they want to come here and they want to entertain and I think entertaining rugby is what we will get today.
"I think if any team was probably going to knock St Helens off, it would be this Wigan team because they are absolutely flying."
