There is nothing too complicated about what St Helens must do to gain momentum - complete their sets, kick well, chase hard and put Wigan under pressure.
There seems a bit more zip about them in these early tackles they are making.

Will Wigan keep their foot on the accelerator in this second half?

Craig: 1) There will never be a more awesome name in rugby league than Shaniah Power. 2) Wigan Warriors are going to dominate women's RL for decades.

Wigan Warriors winger Anna Davies speaking to BBC Sport:
"It's going really well and we're enjoying it. Denis has bred it in us that we enjoy defending.
"It's working really well. Connected, calm and cool.
"I like working, I'll keep running. That's what I can do."

St Helens half- back Faye Gaskin speaking to BBC Sport:
"Not worried if I'm honest. We were behind last week against York at half-time. We came back out and turned that game.
"Listen, we know what we can do. We've gone away from our structures at the minute but we will get back to it at the second half.
"There isn't any greater motivation than five in a row."

We billed it as youth against experience and the youthful Wigan are absolutely schooling St Helens.
Three tries from Megan Willams, Mary Coleman and Emily Veivers and not a single point conceded.
Dreamland stuff for the Warriors. Nightmarish for the Saints.

St Helens captain Jodie Cunningham is penalised for ruck interference and she decides to challenge referee Aaron Moore's decision.
It goes upstairs and Cunningham is proved to be correct. She stole the ball fairly.

It's lacking the composure from the Saints that we've been seeing for the past few seasons.
They just seem to traditionally be able to go through process and take those metres and try to turn the screw.
They are probably starting to feel the scoreline pressure now. Probably the first time in a long time that Saints have been 18 points behind, especially with a nil against their name.
This will be unfamiliar. Wigan are asking questions they don't get asked.

That is an absolute monster of a kick from Isabel Rowe as she turns St Helens round again.
Wing Phoebe Hook is forced to kick the ball out behind the try line and Wigan will have a last crack before the break.

Anyone else getting NFL vibes from that Emily Veivers try?
By all rights she should not be scoring a try from when she collects the ball there. She's just an absolute battering ram of force, charging through to the line.
Sensational.

This Wigan Warriors whirlwind has totally disorientated St Helens.
These serial Challenge Cup winners don't know what's hit them right now.
They get a set restart and they still can't make any headway against this determined Wigan defence.

Well, well, well. This really is going to script for the Warriors.
That pressure, that third set of six on the line ultimately payed off for Emily Veivers.
It's the first play, straight off the tap there. St Helens will be very disappointed with that. Their defensive line is set and Wigan have gone through like a knife through butter.
18 points, that's a very long way to come back from.
Emily Veivers, con Isabel Rowe
Wigan are running riot!
The Warriors gain a third successive set of six after Amy Hardcastle is penalised for a high shot on Shaniah Power.
And remarkably they only need one tackle to score a third try as Emily Veivers receives the tap and bursts through some flimsy defence.
Two more from Isabel Rowe and the gap is three converted tries.

Saints are happy to grind out a game and can stay in it for long periods but they've got to start posting some points.
Wigan are just riding on the front foot so Saints are going to have to come to the party in these last 10 minutes to take a little bit of confidence into that half-time team talk.
St Helens 0-12 Wigan
A great break from Katie Mottershead through the middle as she sees a gap, but she is then guilty of trying to force a pass and the ball is turned over.
That is a sign that St Helens are under the cosh.

In the lead up to today's final, Wigan boss Denis Betts said that his side were not trying to replicate the men's game and hailed their successes this season to the attitude amongst his camp.
Wigan look sensational. So much so that you'd say perhaps Matt Peet's men's set-up might want to take a few notes on this performance rather than the other way around.

St Helens interchange Vicky Whitfield is down with what looks like a bang to the head.
The game is stopped while the medics come on to treat her.

It's a good job the action on the field is pulsating in these early stages because I can't say the same for the weather.
It is spectacularly dull given the time of year. So much so that I can barely see my screen.
It's muggy, too. If we get some significant rain today, as has been forecast, then I get the feeling that could really affect all three finals.
St Helens 0-12 Wigan
St Helens have basically had things all their own way in the past two finals. Not a bit of that here.
Wigan again have good field position and Anna Davies pins her ears back for another crack down the wing, and she is scrambled into touch by Dani McGifford.
