    That has been coming.

He bobs his head one way, swerves his body the other, evades three tackles and crashes over the try line for Wigan's second four-pointer.

Harry Smith again steps up to the tee and converts to make it a 10-point lead.

Wigan have gone ahead on the back of an error, on the back of a penalty, and put some dominance on this game.

We have looked at the grounding a few times, and Zach Eckersley's touchdown counts!

It's only the 20-year-old's second try for Wigan, and what a try it is!

Bevan French was the one to thread a sumptuous short kick through, and the centre got between two Warrington defenders to ground the ball.

Harry Smith steps up and lands the extras.

  10. 'Warrington on top'published at 15:28 British Summer Time 8 June

    Warrington 2-0 Wigan

    Micky Higham
Ex-Wigan & Warrington hooker on BBC Radio Manchester

I think Warrington are just on top.

I think Wigan are defensively strong but I don't think they will want to do much more defending. Though Wigan can defend for 15 or 20 minutes then turn it on.

    It's a solid start

The kickers are going to have to start turning teams around a little bit more to try and get more out of these last tackle efforts.

  15. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Warrington 2-0 Wigan

Wigan shift the ball at speed to the left, and the Warriors think they might catch the Wire out on the edge.

In the end, Wigan are fortunate not to see Rodrick Tai scamper away unchallenged down the other end after he stuck a hand out for an attempted intercept.

Warrington were a clean catch away from the opening try there, you feel.

Don't think we had the memo about this being a 12-man final. Must be a new RFL ruling?

Ridiculous start to this game. Maybe, in retrospect, referee Chris Kendall will wish he hadn't made those two decisions.

It's certainly brought the crowd to life going into the Rob Burrow 7th-minute mark!

But I think the little man would have been laughing at being on the wrong end of either of two those two yellow cards.

  18. PENALTY: Warrington 2-0 Wiganpublished at 10 mins

Josh Thewlis lines up his kick from just to the right of the uprights.

Warrington have had the first real crack at Wigan try line, and the attempted grubber kick though sees the Warriors pinged for offside.

Wolves looked to be through there for a moment.
