Jersey director of rugby Ben Harvey is proud of the impact his homegrown players are making in the Championship this season.

Dave Felton, Jon Brennan, Michael Le Bourgeois, Ed Dawson, James Voss and Chris Levesley all featured in the 39-16 defeat at Bristol on Sunday.

"It's fantastic effort from those boys because they're all kids really," Harvey said after the match.

"They should be very proud of their efforts," he told BBC Radio Jersey.

"Yes they've made mistakes, yes they allowed the side to do certain things to them.

"But the bottom line is that they're playing at this level and they're playing at the top end of professional rugby in the country," Harvey added.

"Playing against a side like Bristol is a wonderful accomplishment but they need to come out there and continue to strive to get better."
