Championship: Jersey 12-10 Nottingham
- Published
Mark McCrea's late converted try gave Jersey a narrow win over Nottingham, in wintry conditions at St Peter.
Mark Foster's score put the islanders in front but the visitors led 10-5 at the break after Brent Wilson's try.
It remained that way until the closing stages, when McCrea forced his way through to score and Jonny Bentley converted.
The win lifts Jersey to seventh in the Championship table, while Nottingham remain fourth.

Jersey have now beaten Nottingham on the last four occasions, and are the only side outside the top two - Worcester and Bristol - to overcome the Green and Whites in the Championship this season. |
Jersey had gone into the game in the knowledge they had run out comprehensive 39-12 winners when the sides met earlier in the season, the club's biggest Championship winning margin.
The hosts certainly started brightly and went ahead on four minutes, with winger Foster scoring in the right corner after good work from Grant Pointer.
Back came Nottingham though, and minutes later they were in front as skipper Wilson crashed over from a driving maul and fly-half Will Maisey converted.
Maisey's penalty sent the Green and Whites in with a 10-5 advantage at half-time, but it was Jersey who were to impress more after the break.
Nottingham forward Dan Montagu saw yellow for an infringement at the maul, and then with time ticking away they were reduced to 14 men again when flanker Tom Calladine was sent to the sin bin.
Jersey, looking for a rare back-to-back league win, continued to push for an equalising or potentially winning try and it came when the ball was worked to McCrea and he dived for the line with an outstretched arm to ground the ball between the posts.
Bentley had the straight-forward job of knocking over the penalty, and Jersey saw out the game despite a mishit drop-goal attempt from Maisey.
