Beard of the year? Scotland prop Geoff Cross's magnificent facial foliage is arguably the best on show in the 2015 Six Nations, but it may not be so for long - he's going to chop it off for charity soon.

Wales second row Jake Ball has more than punched his weight on the facial hair front, his strawberry blond chin thatch a fine addition to the Six Nations, although he's only made the bench for Saturday's game against Ireland.

Big man, big beard. At 6ft 5in (1.96m) and 24 stone (154kg), France prop Uini Atonio is a monster of a man and has a beard to match. He came off the bench in their first three games but has been dropped for Sunday - more beard required to earn a recall?

What is it about forwards and beards? Standing 6ft 8in (2.03m), England second row Dave Attwood is an impressive specimen, and although he sports a nice beard there is definitely room for further follicular enhancement.

Wild man, wild hair. Except Italy have only gone and dropped veteran prop Martin Castrogiovanni, and we have to ask why? How can you expect to beat France without the hirsute former Leicester man, whose shaggy locks complement his facial fuzz so perfectly?

OK, this one's a bit of a cheat because we've gone back to 2014 for Ireland's entry, but how could we not include the magnificent edifice that adorned the face of centre Gordon D'Arcy in 2014? And the man's a back!

The tournament resumes on Saturday as Wales attempt to derail Ireland's Grand Slam bid in Cardiff, kick-off 14:30 GMT.

Later on Saturday, Scotland travel to Twickenham hoping for a first win over England in London since 1983, while on Sunday Italy host France.
