Ben Featherstone: Jersey sign Esher prop on two-year deal

Ben Featherstone came on as a replacement for Saracens against Exeter in the LV= Cup in February

Jersey have signed prop Ben Featherstone from National One side Esher on a two year deal.

The 25-year-old, who will join Jersey in the summer, replaces Harry Williams who is moving to Premiership side Exeter after a season at St Peter.

Featherstone has also played A League and LV= Cup rugby for Saracens as well as Bournemouth in National Two South.

"Ben is a player who comes highly recommended," Jersey head coach Harvey Biljon said of the tighthead.

"What he needs now is a strong pre-season and he will then have the chance to fulfil his potential and establish himself as a Championship player," Biljon added.

Featherstone is the fifth new signing after Jersey unveiled four new players earlier this week.

, external and , external have signed new deals, but centre Drew Locke is moving to London Scottish.
