Wales international Rhys Gill was sent off in Saturday's defeat, Saracens first in the Premiership this season

Saracens' Wales prop Rhys Gill has been banned for three weeks for a dangerous tackle on Harlequins centre George Lowe in Saturday's 29-23 defeat.

Gill, 29, pleaded guilty of the charge to a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel and was also fined £500.

Quins hooker Dave Ward and lock James Horwill were cleared of acts contrary to good sportsmanship and striking or punching respectively.

Both are now free to play, while Gill is suspended until 2 February.
