Jersey's winning try came with the clock at St Peter showing 80 minutes played
A penalty-try in the closing minutes gave Jersey a hard-fought win over London Scottish, keeping alive the islanders' play-off hopes.
Oli Evans ran through to give Jersey an early lead but Scottish hit back with Jason Harries and Robbie Fergusson tries.
Winger Rich Lane went over before half-time to keep Jersey in touch.
They trailed, though, until the penalty-try at a maul saw them snatch the win.

The hosts had been ahead after just 45 seconds, working the ball wide to the right to centre Evans who sprinted to the line for a converted score.
A quickly-taken penalty at the other end saw winger Harries go over to level the scores. Moments later, his good work set centre Fergusson through and in the blink of an eye Jersey had gone from 7-0 ahead to 14-7 behind.
A Peter Lydon penalty from near the half-way line extended the advantage further, but a good offload from Jersey back-row Nick Haining found Lane who sprinted down the left wing to score in the corner.
An Aaron Penberthy penalty narrowed the gap to just two points at the break.
London Scottish dominated the second half but could only muster three points
The visitors dominated territory and possession in the second half but only had a Lydon penalty to show for their efforts.
Jersey's visits to the opposition's 22 were few and far between, but after the Exiles were penalised twice in quick succession for infringements at mauls, the referee Darren Gamage lost patience on the third occasion and awarded the penalty-try.
That score levelled the scores and left Penberthy with the straight-forward conversion from in front of the posts, which turned out to be the winner.
Subsequently the islanders stay fifth in the Championship, eight points behind both Bedford Blues and Yorkshire Carnegie, who play each other on Easter Sunday.
