Redruth head coach Steve Larkins has praised hooker Tom Cowan-Dickie following their 44-25 National Two South victory at Old Elthamians.

The former Exeter player got a hat-trick of first-half tries in the win.

"He was quite good - he was everywhere, all over the field," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"When you've got people like Cowan-Dickie running through people and running through people out wide as well, he's a hard man to stop."

It was Redruth's ninth away win of the season, keeping them fourth in the table, and they have lost just twice in the league since mid-December.

Larkins had recently spoken about wanting to retain the bulk of his squad for next season.

"Throughout that first half they were quite in awe of the way we played, I think," he added.

"We're trying to get a brand of rugby where we're going to play to the edges of the field and try to put teams under pressure, and we did that."
