Steve Larkins: Redruth boss hopes for quick Launceston revival

Redruth head coach Steve Larkins hopes that Cornish rivals Launceston can return to form next season.

The Cornish All Blacks are yet to win a game this term and have been relegated from National Two South.

Launceston host Redruth on Saturday, in what will be the final Cornish derby for at least a season.

"Fingers crossed they can turn the corner next season and see if they can push for that promotion spot and get back into this league," Larkins said.

Launceston have conceded 395 points and scored just two tries, a conversion and a penalty, in their last five matches.

"They're in a difficult place at the moment," Larkins told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We know they're coming of the back of some terrible results and they've conceded lots of points.

"But teams very rarely go a whole year without winning a game and we don't Launceston's only win to be us next week.

"We've got to go up there with the same mindset as we do for every single other league match.

"We've got to play the same patterns and we've got to do exactly what we've been doing in the last few weeks - go out there, entertain, score and to do things that work for us."
