Paul Grant: Bath sign Kiwi number eight from Otago

Paul Grant has spent eight years with New Zealand-based side Otago, over two different spells

Bath have signed former Nottingham number eight Paul Grant from New Zealand provincial outfit Otago until the end of the season.

New Zealand-born Grant, 28, joined Nottingham from French Top 14 side Montpellier for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 campaigns, before returning to Otago.

Bath director of Rugby Todd Blackadder said: "Paul will give us added strength in depth in the back row.

"He has a very dynamic playing style and I know he'll fit in really well."

Otago's captain also gained international experience playing for the All Blacks Sevens team in 2008-09.
