Harlequins bounced back from consecutive defeats in Europe to claim a bonus-point win over Worcester as 11 tries were scored at the The Stoop.

Rising star Marcus Smith opened the scoring, with Mat Luamanu crossing on the stroke of half-time.

Tries from Danny Care, Jamie Roberts and Charlie Walker confirmed victory.

Worcester led at half-time through David Denton, Perry Humphreys and Josh Adams and claimed two bonus points with Dean Hammond and Jack Singleton tries.

It was a spirited performance from Worcester but they remain winless in seven games and bottom of the Premiership.

Three first-half tries raised their hopes with Wynand Olivier offering an off-load behind his back to set up Denton and Humphreys superbly finishing Tom Howe's interception.

But Harlequins rallied well after the break to take control and earn a fourth Premiership win of the season.

Care dribbled the ball to the line before collecting to score and his quick tap-penalty set up Roberts for the bonus-point try.

Harlequins director of rugby John Kingston:

"It was a real curate's egg as some of our rugby with ball in hand was outstanding.

"But defensively we weren't right as we give away points too easily so there a lot of things we have to work on.

"I'm proud that we rolled our sleeves up to get the victory as we have 28 players out due to injury or unavailability and it's been a challenging week."

Worcester head coach Carl Hogg:

"It was a roller-coaster of a game but the crucial try was theirs just before half-time as we lost control in the first 10-15 minutes of the second half.

"We showed a huge amount of spirit to come back from there and set up a grandstand finish and we are happy with the two points.

"We looked a really good balanced side in the first half and we are progressing after having to play some really tough games at Sixways."
